| it occured to me: dr. doom is 1 of the 3 smartest people in all of the marvel universe. he has 1 of the most sophisticated armors in all of comic-dom. he has even given people super powers. why hasn't he ever had a team like the avengers of his own? why does he have those doombots that keep getting destroyed? instead, i thought it would be cool to do this: a Latdoom, a man in armor. he's part of dr. doom's version of the avengers for latervia. |

 Artist Notes: Hmm. Don't really understand this part, but rules is rules! I love the fact that Dan wanted action shots, cuz it's right up my alley! I never did a picture of Creel before this so this was kinda like changing a diaper for the first time. Y'know if ya screw up you can wind up with piss in yer eye Munk . Anyway I drew each charaxcter on seperate 11x14 sheets of drawing paper using my trusty HB, 2B & 4B pencils. And I chose Capt. Marvel as an opponent because Thor & Hulk were too obvious and had been done before, but most of all because I really enjoy seeing CM getting his ass kicked  . Coloring isn't my strong suite but I am rather pleased on how Creel came out. Since part of the criteria was to show him using his power, I chose to show him in a metallic state and surrounded by energy emissions. Perhaps the only part of this picture I don't like is the background. I would have preferred to draw a BG but couldn't make a decision about what I wanted until last night  . The ball and chain action-sequence was a last minute thing I decided on because with the angle of the picture it was hard to actually tell what was going on. The average comic reader could decipher it but I wanted to leave no questions. A little copy-pasting, a motion blur here and there and some opacity adjustments and "voila!" Instant Action! This is actually the second picture I posted here, I posted one yesterday that I had the Mods take down so I could make improvements. Whether this makes it to round 2 or not it was fun  ! |

| I grabbed a close-up pic of Bale-Bats with bats flying round his head and recolored it purple. Then I snagged a pic of Heath Ledger smiling, did him up like Joker and pasted half of his face over Batman's to show that they are the opposing forces. The yin and yang, so to speak. The Joker card is from a pic of the one in Batman Begins. I toggled the opacity and stuff till it was to my liking. |

| Most, if not all, of you will recognize this pose and outfit as the one from my recent Daredevil pics. I really liked the costume on DD so I thought I would do an original character with it. I'm not good at thinking of characters on demand so I copped out and just went with sort of an exact opposite of DD. Which would be some kind of angel right? So, the Guardian Angel was born. Ok, so he's no Batman. I think he looks cool. |

| This is my new variation on the black costume, which was in the comics sometime back. I blended the Superman Movie costume idea, but applied it to this suit. I like this costume much better than the standard one, so I think I will use it more often. This chick just looks mean as hell, and I wouldnt want to piss her off... |

This is done in pen and ink with much inspiration from a Ed Benes Picture. I took his layout and went with my own figures. I don't think I really did the picture any favors by inking it, but now it's ready for color (hint hint). |

| Sorry to everyone who read the previous rant that was on here. I think I was just stressed and needed to release some of it. I've always liked the Spectre character but I don't know why they have never redesigned his outfit. Except for the Hal Jordan days anyway. The hooded cloak, gloves and boots I like but why the heck doesn't the guy wear actual pants? Why would he continue to run around in green underwear beyond the 40's and 50's. Anyway, I tried to design a suit for him that I thought would be cool and this is the best I could come up with. Seemed SO cool in my head. |
