| Warrior Nun VagabondX Other Comics 2006/7/24 20:37 2822 6
I've always liked the design of Ben Dunn's Warrior Nun Areala character so I wanted to do a drawing of her. I intentionally made the head overly large as somewhat of an homage to Mr. Dunn's style.
P.S. This is the last of the artwork I already had in my computer that I wanted to submit. I'll continue to post stuff I do that I'm happy with but it won't be quite as often as it has been. I'm sure the moderators will be relieved. I appreciate their patience with me. |

I had this image in my head for a long time but I couldn't get it right on paper. I did an older version that was ok but not what I wanted it to be. This one still has many defects but its closer to what I hoped it would be. |

Ahhhhhh... You all thought I was a "one trick pony". I can hear it now: "Sure BB3 can do second-string heroes, but, can he do characters from a sci-fi show with a small cult following?"
I present to you my version of River Tam, Reaver-killer extraordinaire. Or, as I like to call it, "Digital River". |

I was going to do a huge tribute to Vietnam for an art project... this was the beginning of it... and this is as far as it went. I switched the project to colored pencil instead. The final image ended up being 16x20 or so... it adorns my library. (yeah... teh crapper) I thought about this becaue the comic 'Nam was kinda popular. |

Here's my take on Catwoman, who's itching to get the night started. I went with the most excellent Charisma Carpenter for the model, I thought she was a great fit. I wrestled with 2 versions, one zipped and one partially unzipped, and in the end, I think the zipped worked out much better.
Anyways, enough talking, enjoy. Comments are welcome.

working on a colored version.
history: raised in america with her ideals [truth & justice] young [name with held because i haven't named him yet] never left the continental united states. his parents were from puerto rico and moved to the states because the opportunities were better. he's a modern puerto rican / american, in that he doesn't know spanish and doesn't want to know spanish. he followed captain america's career closely and even joined the military [u.s. airforce]. he then heard of the new super soldier program and signed up. he was in with 10 other men and was 1 of the 5 who actually made it through as a new breed of super soldier [the 2nd captain america, battle star, right winger and left winger were the other 4 who became super soldiers]. in a fit of sarcastic anger, he came up with "el borinque" because he was, once again, arguing that he's not puerto rican, he's american. the general in charged thought it was clever and would catch on. since then, el borinque was ordered to learn spanish and has become an iconic symbol for the spanish speakers of america [even though he loaths it]. el borinque is a member of s.h.i.e.l.d. and works along side the ultimates when needed. however, one of his primary missioins is to keep the group of super powers in check and report directly to the president of the united states. |

Womanhood had successfully lured Vampirella to join her on the woefully female-deficient Team 2.
Soon after, while enjoying a celebratory snack from the food hut, the women began to nosh on some strange looking anti-pasta.
It was only after tearing apart and sharing a particularly large and whiney piece of pasta that they realized they had just killed and devoured none other than ... The Crimson Noodle!
Both buxom ladies agreed: Victory never tasted so good! |

| Contrasts in vengeance. VagabondX Other Comics 2006/7/20 16:40 2243 5
A teamup that seems made to order. The similarities of these two are too good to pass up while the contrasts make it a perfect match. Both wield dual pistols, both somewhat supernatural, both garbed in flowing cloak type thingies and both prey on the evil of society. Man/woman, white clothing/black clothing. Seemed like a cool image in my head. And for those who don't know them. The lady is Dark Horse comics' Ghost and the gent is the pulp vigilante of the 30's/40's the Shadow. |
