thank you, bhm1954. he is protective of his city, but it's more of a pride thing. he was born & raised there and he believes no other hero knows it the way he does. he's like a father and his city's his baby. when another hero comes around, it's like they're stepping on his toes and calling him a bad parent... trying to take his baby away from him. that, and these other heroes can be jerks.

Zion is real protective of what he considers his city, isn't he? If anyone else comes around, they seem to automatically get a beat down.
