A texture I created for M4 to give me the new Cap look as worm by Bucky.  I can't get the nifty shiny look without PS so I had to settle for this.  This version has no Bump to it as this is the Alpha Test version.

Very good work here... I think the character, pose, expression, scene and lighting bear a strong resonance to the new Brubaker/Epting Cap. I think the work you've done is very solid with a whole lot to commend it. Still, I do think that a big part of what people notice and think of when they see the new Cap is that damned shiny suit. I know this is still your alpha test. Hope your ideas on the shiny thing work out. Don't bang your head too hard though as there's a number of ways around any shortcomings Daz throws your way. Excellent job, looking forward to seeing Cap v2.

Yup, I use the reflection nd the lighting setup. the problem is that DAZ is a tad low powered in that I can't isolate the skin part of the texture map. I am planning on trying an experiment later and if it works I will post the results and how I managed it. If it doesn't I will be smacking my forehead into my desk repeatedly.

A shader node would be, and someone correct me if my explanation needs it, an algorithmically defined material (quite probably maskable even in Daz to they don't have to effect the whole texture map) that can change the apparent characteristics of the object in question just by changing the nodes setup.

You'd be looking for the Surface Tab in Daz Studio 2.x I believe...

Don't use Daz much myself but I'm sure their site would have some tutorials. Or perhaps someone beter at Daz than I can assist further.

Although quickly browsing the user guide would suggest using the advanced settings and using Refection and Lighting Model is the place to start.

Great image. I haven't been that big of a fan with what they've been doing in the Captain America comic, but I do like this image. Just doesn't look right though for Captain America to be using a gun though...

Using DAZ Studio? Poser?

What about using a shader node to make it shiny?
