I was experimenting a new type of postwork on this image. So advice and comments are welcome.

Hal, Hal... where to begin? I think I commented on this a while ago elsewhere but you've got so any good things going on I barely no where to start... I guess with the postwork since it sounds like that'd be the part you'd most be looking for feedback on. It rocks! It quite nearly escapes the 3D realm entirely... this very much has a good illustrated look to it. Aside from that, it's just such a perfect Punisher pic... great close-up, sense of action, expression, pyrotechnics, bg, etc. and most importantly (and something I'd seen missed in a lot of 3D Franky C. pics), it actually LOOKS LIKE THE PUNISHER! Outstanding work, man!

 Re: The punisher
I can comment, but I ain't good enough to give advice.
Heh heh, and knowing the quality of your stuff, I don't think I could ever be qualified to advise you.

But I do like this perspective. Close up, just how the Punisher here would like it.
That expression is awesome!
Great sense of motion with the casings, too.

The only curiosity I have is about the collar. It looks like two different materials (or material shaders) were used for the shirt and collar. So it appears as though Frank here has a bodysuit under his Skull shirt.
Which is an interesting idea, given the amount of blood that could spill on Castle's outerwear, it seems pertinent for him to dress in layers.

The gun flares, the lighting, and even the background are great for emphasizing that expression of "Punishment."

Great job! With what new post work method are you experimenting? (Or is that a "need to know" G-13 classified?)
