The mystic realm of the dragons was no more. Nathaniel found himself back home, uncelebrated and unoticed. He was transported through the dimensions as a hope for their world. He was given and taught the basic arts by the oldest and wisest of the dragons: Alwazlite. His newly discovered lost twin brother, Daniel; had succumbed to lust and greed for the powers of the ancient dragons, and risen to power of that world. Daniel had been kidnapped as an infant and hidden into the dragon dimension many years ago, by a lowly marketeer; cashing in on the fabled prophecy: A human mystic would be granted the power of the dragons. Their parents died within a year soon after. Some had spoken by reasons of heartbreak and despair. Nathaniel grew up not knowing his twin or family. In the end; his brother was defeated and was lost by his own hands in a great epic fight between magics. He was given the final powers of the dragons before they too were lost. Never to return. The mystic magics of the dragons were now his to command. He prefers solitude and roams the city without purpose attempting to find his place. He is alone. He is balance. He is the DragonMage.

I did use my own lighting this time to see if I could get the realism I was looking for, that and enhancing the scenery with normal mapping. This also was my first attempt using ambient lighting for the FX. Glad it met your approval!

I love the dynamic pose and POV, the FX really wow and your lighting and render detail are just so crisp and realistic. Awesome job, bud!

Thanks for the compliment! It's greatly appreciated. The answer is yes it's an actual comic idea; however since I can only utilize my free time constructing the concept, the endeavor may take some time.
