I drew the S in a separate layer then put the opacity at 50 and the layer to multiply.

Re: supergirl Welcome aboard, Dreamslayer! Good job for a first manip. You could clean up your edges a bit better, but your layout and shading are good. One question, though... if she's that close to the sun, why is her shirt still wet (like I'm complaining!!!)?
