Might as well post all of my Batman related pics...

This is Bats visiting his parents' grave on the anniversary of their murders. It was the response to a challenge to do a piece with dark lighting. It is, indeed, really, really dark. Apologies if you have to play around with your monitor settings to see it properly!

This was ninety-something percent Bryce. The main things added later were Bats' cowl and the edges of his cape, as well as the rain effect. I did this only a couple months ago, but with the benefit of hindsight and C2F reviews, I probably should have done more post-production.

Overall... There's a number of problems with it (I'll let you guys look for them this time, LOL), but I still quite like it.

More later.

Re: Anniversary
'Hawk - Relatively small problems, yes, but still problems, and too many for my taste. You're right, lightning would've been a good touch, wish I'd thought of it.

Dragondack - Yep, I made the rain. I adapted a tutorial I found online. The effect shown there is a bit off to my eyes, but if you make the "raindrops" thinner, and do a couple layers of them, it looks quite good.

Max - Thanks muchly. I must admit, I like the sky -- it's unrealistic, but it looks good and produces the right kind of mood. Call it artistic license, if you will!

I agree that this one could have been improved on but only very marginally. "The problems", you are talking about are more of nitpicks then anything else. I do think that this is on of your better pictures. Looking at it now for a second time, I think that having some Lightning in the background would have made it a little more dramatic and would have givin you a reason to put in some dramatic lighting with out losing the over all dark feel or look to the picture.
The concept of this picture is really great. 2 thumbs up.

Very dark & mysterious! Very shadowy!
Gives you that sombre feeling doesn't it?
Did you make the rain ?
Very good!

Cool! It must have taken a while. Superb attention to detail (the only things off are the purple sky and detail missing on the moon).

I love the Sergeant Pepper reference.
