I spent a long time on this piece. My son helped with the choice of background, and once we landed on a shot, it just basically manipped itself.(Strange how they all seem to do that, haha.)
Enjoy!

 Re: Above the Earth
Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, I know the lighting is off a bit, but it is like the sun and the earth are casting light. The base for this pic was black and white, and I kinda did the best I could to make it look colorized without it looking fakeish. I did the best I could to make her look like she was really there in space. If it were totally accurate, all you could see would have been a black figure backlit by the sun. Maybe I could have done that, but I chose to have some false light on her just so you could see her.

A striking image and very emotive (is that a word?).

But I have a critique, not much of one, but the lighting on certain parts of her body are unexplainable if the Sun is the only light source, i.e. her midriff and the underside of her right arm, some of this it seems to me her cape would cut off the direct sunlight to these areas.

I like this, the way she is holding her cape is cool. Great job on this and I really like the background.

This is sweet Jedi. The work you've done on the figure is quite nice. Plus I really like the composition. It's very striking, and has a serious emotional weight to it. Well Done!

 Re: Above the Earth
the cape position looks like she has winglets but other than that this was worth the time and effort
