The most distracting part to me, though, was the red outline around her. I'm not sure if you were going for an aura look or not, but it doesn't seem to fit to me. Just my two cents worth.

This costume seems more secure than what she normally wears. This could actually be made and worn by a real person (without a lot of glue).
