You've got shiney down, that's for sure... I really like the colors and the creative use of textures. It's a bit disjointed overall though. The coloring looks separate from the line work, and the background (while cool) doesn't seem to belong at all. The separation happens I think because you deviated from Thaynes lighting a little too much., you've got highlights running below his shadows.
