| Wonder Woman: Variations by Kallisti part 2 Kallisti DC Comics 2005/3/17 12:46 6835 15
i know, i know, i said the next work in the Variations series would be in the adult gallery... but i had some setbacks while working on it and decided to do this one instead. i promise the NEXT one will be in the Members gallery. ...anyway, here's one of my favorite models, Adrianna Sage, as Wonder Woman. nothing fancy here, pretty straightforward manip. basically i used this project to tutor myself in the uses of the pen tool. Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

| Wonder Woman: Variations by Kallisti part 01 Kallisti DC Comics 2005/3/7 10:38 3655 2
OK, so most of you will recognize this manip, because i posted another version of it already. i've prettied her up a bit here, apparently i left her a bit too rough for most people's tastes. i also changed her eye color and made the gold of her headband a bit more realistic. here's Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman on the cover of a bogus magazine called Hero Insider. this is part one in a series of WW manips i'm doing, each either using a different model, or different costume inspired by comics, tv, and homemade ww costumes. part02 in the series will be posted in the members gallery! |

Another work i decided to fix up after adjusting my Gamma settings... |

| Wasp goes for a ride... Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/6/12 13:52 5641 15
Yeah yeah, i know Janet probably doens't do much motorcycle riding, but i figured this background would be cool for scale purposes. Plus, it gave me the opportunity to make that nifty liscense plate. Also, i am well aware that she has red hair, not black, but i like this model and i plan on using her for a couple of other Wasp pics i have planned. So there. Enjoy! Comments welcome, requested, and appreciated. |

| Three Jeans to Choose From.... Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/8/3 16:07 5037 11
Here's another idea i've been kicking around for a while... these are my favorite three of all of Jean Grey's numerous costumes. I found this model with lots of similar poses, all the same size, and decided to give this a shot. Pictured are (left to right): Dark Phoenix, original Marvel Girl, and Jean's X-Factor costume. Enjoy! |
|
| The Punisher Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/10/18 8:27 4292 3
i've wanted to do a female punisher for a while, so here she is. i tried to blend his old-school costume/gear with a bit of the new, as well as the obvious gender switch. Comments appreciated. Enjoy! |
|
| The Masters of Evil (Assorted Members) Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/5/15 13:53 4414 9
Possibly my most ambitious effort to date, it all finally came together and made sense this afternoon. i was originally gonna do about 6 villains, but decided to just go with these four. i'm especially happy with the way Blackout's darkforce power is represented in the background, and i like the way Eel II's superslick coated battlesuit came out. things i'm not sure i got right, and would like tips on, would be Titania's hair, and the lenses in Yellowjacket's goggles. Enjoy! |
|
| The Heckler Kallisti DC Comics 2004/4/4 17:53 3276 4
This is a real quickie I did because I haven't seen any manips of this character. I put him against this casino background mainly for the zany colors and dizzying camera angle. The Heckler was a short-lived DC series written and drawn by the great Kieth Giffen. I may go back and fiddle with this figure a little more, but i just felt like posting... as always, comments welcome. |

Here are the first two of several original characters i will be posting. This is Guardian and Invincible girl. for sake of space, i'll post details about both characters in a comment. enjoy! comments appreciated. |

so here's the rest of the Guardians team, finishing out the first part of this series. Dash, Dr. Napalm, and Crystal standing in front of Guardians Headquarters. as usual, i'll leave a comment giving a few more details about each character.

| The Baroness: 70s Style Kallisti TV and Movies 2004/3/14 14:17 4934 5
OK, so here's a quickie of Elizabeth Hurley as the COBRA's #1 sexpot, the Baroness. I saw this pic of Hurley and figured all it needed was a pair of glasses and a COBRA logo to transform her into the deadly villainess. It's sort of a retro look, what i would imagine the Baroness might've worn during her early days with the COBRA organization. |

| Ten from the Royal Flush Gang Kallisti TV and Movies 2004/3/15 17:16 5398 8
OK, so this is Ten, an obscure Justice League villainess who was part of a team called The Royal Flush Gang. After many unsucessful tries at putting her in front of a casino background (there were some hair issues, one of my layers was apparently done wrong, and i couldn't figure out how to correct it), i decided to just post her as-is. What the heck, its only like my 4th manip, and it was too good to not post (i think). Also, i may incorporate this manip into another pic with Ace from the Royal Flush Gang as well. We'll see... let me know what you think! |
|
| Taarna Kallisti TV and Movies 2004/7/5 12:47 4642 9
So yeah i was watching that old Heavy Metal animated movie that came out in like 1981 the other day, and i got inspired. The results: Sylvia Saint as the heroine of the final segment, Taarna. Enjoy! |
|
| Superman Kallisti DC Comics 2004/10/9 14:45 4053 5
ok so i've had this base that i wanted to turn into superman for quite some time now, buy inspiration failed me time and again as i tried to find a way to make it more than "just another superman manip". so i decided to use the streamlined costume desigend by Draxhall for Wizard Magazine's proposal for an "Ultimate Superman" comic. The poem is actually the lyrics to a song entitled "Collect From Clark Kent" by one of my favorite bands, Braid. Enjoy! |
|
| Sun Girl (Most Obscure Post Ever) Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/7/2 16:19 5827 10
OK so this is Sun Girl, from a pre-golden age Marvel comic called, well, Sun Girl. she was also known to pal around with captain america and the original human torch. i just felt like doing a quickie and going really, really obscure. enjoy. |

| Starman Kallisti DC Comics 2012/5/25 15:49 2360 1
Well, it has been a while, but I felt like trying out an old-school photomanip using the GIMP instead of Photoshop. Since I use Linux as my main operating system these days, Photoshop is simply not an option. I like the GIMP as a replacement program, I just haven't quite figured out how to do all the things I used to do with Photoshop yet. Needless to say, my skills are rusty as this is the first manip I have completed in years. That's why I went with a character that was fairly simple. Comments/criticism/hate mail always appreciated. |
|
| Spider-Woman in Hydra's Grip Kallisti Marvel Comics 2007/5/6 11:39 4071 8
I really liked this base pic, and instantly envisioned Hydra's leader the Viper whispering instructions into a not-so-sure Spider-Woman's ear.
Happy with the costumes and wrinkles, not so thrilled about the eyes or the mask in general.
Let me know what you think! |

| Spider-Woman & Viper Redux Kallisti Marvel Comics 2009/5/13 19:59 3258 2
So, I just spent 4 hours of my life (that I will never get back) fumbling around in Adobe InDesign CS4 to help a friend with a project he needed for work. I have no experience with this seemingly non-intuitive program and it was quite a hassle. Long story short (too late) I was left with a feeling of ineptitude that I am not used to experiencing when working in Photoshop. So I decided to touch up a manip I posted sometime last year just to prove to myself that I still know how to use a computer. I don't know if that rant makes any sense, but here's a manip of Viper whispering in Spider-Woman's ear with the eyes fixed. If you're not familiar with the original, here's a link.

I think it looks better. |

| Spider Woman Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/5/15 8:53 4656 12
So i "finished" this manip a month or two ago, never could get a background to work because the hair was proving just too time consuming for me to want to deal with. i figured i'd never post it, but i wound up using it to test an idea i had about making costumes look a little thicker, so i tried it out. i guess i'll go ahead and post it background-less, as sort of a preview of the Masters of Evil project i'm working on... |

| She-Cat from FemForce Kallisti Other Comics 2004/6/24 20:35 4175 6
The most popular heroine from my Cat Power! mulit-manip. |
|
| Shanna the She-Devil Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/6/5 14:21 5138 4
honestly i never even considered this character for a manip... until i saw this base pic. i couldn't pass it up. essentially a quickie, it was more of a practice piece than anything else. i wanted to do a lot of frankensteining (everything she's wearing except the fur thing) and i wanted to experiment with fur for my cat-themed manip in progress. plus i haven't posted anything new since heromorph has been back up. |
|
| Sentry Kallisti Other Comics 2004/6/21 12:50 2700 2
Sentry from Hero Alliance. NOT a man you'd like to run into in a dark alley. Unless of course you're being chased by bad guys.... |
|
| Rogue Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/8/10 17:14 3469 3
I have no idea what comic series this costume is from, or what era. I based it on a picture i found on some X-Men website. But this model was begging to be turned into Rogue, and i like the slightly armored costume. Enjoy! |

| October Challenge: Happy Halloween, Spider-Man... Kallisti Other Comics 2004/10/31 22:38 3537 13
Spider-Man was hot on the trail of Jack-O-Lanter, knowing he was up to no good. The web-slinger trailed him to an unfamiliar city, and was about to make his move, when out of nowhere Jack's old rival the Hobgoblin joined the party. The air ripples underneath Jack's flying disc as he lobs bomb after bomb at the Hobgoblin. Things look pretty scary for our hero, but the tables are about to turn, as Spidey recieves help from a couple of unlikely sources... |

|
| Medusa Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/10/18 10:43 3734 9
a strange manip. i had to rework the hair quite a bit, but you'd be surprised at how much was on the base pic. i think the model is pop singer Shakira. enjoy. comments appreciated. |
|
| Masters of Evil Repost Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/9/26 11:19 3518 2
I adjusted the Gamma settings on my monitor not long ago, and afterwards i noticed that several of my posted works didn't look quite right anymore. Since when i originally posted this piece, it was mentioned that it might be nominated for a Heromorph award, i figured i'd go back and touch it up a bit. I don't know if any moderators want to go through the trouble of replacing this image with the original one or not, but i'd like to make sure this is the version that gets voted on, should it be nominated. Enjoy. |

| Marvel Elseworlds, Kallisti Style: Mystique Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/11/14 12:07 4032 6
so here's the kick-off of my series of Marvel heroines (and possibly villainesses) remade and revamped. this is the follow-up to my DC series of the same theme. here's Silvie Thomas as Mystique. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
