| Composite Supergirl SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2006/5/26 17:40 6009 7
Hi, guys, I'm back! Thought I'd do a gender-swap version of The Composite Superman. I went with the 70's Supergirl costume since I couldn't do half a blue skirt, but with the large centered "S" (the '70's version had a small symbol on the left breast) What do you think? |

| Arisia of the Green Lantern Corps SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2007/6/12 16:52 5525 11
My tribute to the late, great teen Green Lantern. And,yes,I'm aware her Power Ring is on her left hand. Being left-handed myself,I have a tendency to make characters lefties.

Who'll be Batgirl ten years from now? Rebecca Langstrom, daughter of Kirk"Man-Bat"Langstrom,that's who! She uses super-hearing and glider wings to help out the Bats. P.S.-the city pic wasn't too good,so I used Watercolor Filter on it. Hope it worked!

| Catwomaan 2018 SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2007/12/14 19:02 4399 8
Thought I'd try a futuristic version of Catwoman. No relation to Selina Kyle, she's the daughter of the old Batman villain, Catman.
Model: Jenny Lynn(I swear, that's the name she gave!) |

| Wonder Girl SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2005/2/21 21:33 4390 8
Welcome to Mages' Presidents Day sale- Two Wonder Girls for the price of one! I thought the model would make a good WG, but I couldn't decide whether to do the original costume (on the right), or the later one, so I did 'em both. What do you think? |

| Thunder Woman (original amalgam) SilverAgeMage Other Comics 2004/10/18 8:28 4173 3
Remember when Marvel and DC co-created Amalgam Comics? I liked the idea, so, frustrated writer/artist that I am, I came up with some of my own. It should be pretty obvious which two heroes I used. I've been getting some pretty good tips on doing metal lately from tutorials and my fellow 'Morphers, so I'm trying them out. How'd I do? |
|
| Supergirl X from the 41st Century! SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2008/3/5 21:40 4093 4
More Photoshop toonage! I based her on the Kell-El character from the LSH cartoon. (I think I heard him refered to as "Superman X", so I went with it.) |

| Dawnstar SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2008/1/3 10:23 3887 4
Happy New Year,Everybody! Thought I'd start out 2008 with one of my favorite Legion babes. The wings free-handed in Photoshop-I used a Hawkman Heroclix(and lots of squinting)to get the details. |

| Batgirl Over Brazil SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2008/4/16 16:42 3773 5
One good turn deserves another. Several weeks ago, BraZZZil posted a pic inspired by my Batgirl 2018 and used Pittsburgh. So, I thought I'd return the favor by having her over his home turf of Florianopolis. Beautiful city you live in,BraZZZil! |

| Fire: One Hot Little Lass SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2006/8/26 17:56 3661 4
Gosh,I hate to work poor Karen Zaremba so hard, but she makes a great heroine, doesn't she? And, no, Fire's not pulling that famous college-dorm stunt, either, She doesn't need matches and the flame's not blue. |

| Element Girl and Metamorpho SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2006/6/19 16:54 3651 5
Metamorpho's one of my favorite Silver Age heroes, and I've been dying to do his female counterpart, the late, great Urania Blackwell for quite some time, so here they are! Wrestler(and fellow 'Burgh boy) Kurt Angle as Rex and Lindsay Mulinazzi's head on a thumnail as E-Girl. The're standing in front of the rose-colored pyramid where the got their powers. |

| Mary Marvel #1,000,000 SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2006/7/6 16:54 3636 6
Sorry I'm a bit late for Mary Marvel week. I liked the "DC One Million" mini-series a few years ago,so I thought I'd do The World's Mightiest Girl 853rd century style, down to the weird metallic costumes the future heroes wore. Kirsten Dunst as Mary. And, check out the "comics code" symbol! |

| Platinum On The Rocks SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2007/12/14 18:57 3553 8
Hi,Guys and Gals! Sorry I've been away so long, but I lost my Internet connection a couple months ago,but S.A.M.is back!
Thought the contrast between metal and rock would be good. Plus I haven't had the artistic guts to try Jr.'s metal 'tute in a while. Whaddaya think?

Didn't want to post this so soon after Wasmiths' excellent pic of her, but I was half finished with this when he posted his, so here goes. Tried a little Roger Dean style on the background- he's the artist that painted Yes album covers in the '70s. So, what do you folks think? |

|
| Mirror Master SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2005/1/30 12:46 3371 6
Hi, guys, I'm back! On reflection, Sam Scudder was my favorite member of the Flashes' Rogues Gallery. (ouch!) Vin Diesel as Mirror Master, giving Barry and Wally seven years of bad luck. Let me know what you think, okay? |
|
| Catwoman '69 SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2006/6/24 19:22 3367 5
1969, that is! (Made ya look!)The Selina Kyle I remember best is the one with the purple slit skirt, but I wanted to do something a bit different,so I went with the costume from the late '60s and early '70s (what else would you expect from your Friendly Neighborhood S.A.M.?) |
|
| Birdman SilverAgeMage TV and Movies 2004/8/27 21:54 3329 4
Before he became Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law, Birdman was my favorite of Hanna-Barberas' animated super-heroes. He could fire solar blasts and create energy shields, which made him cooler than other winged characters. His eagle is Avenger, and, yes, folks, he's purple. They're both seen leaving the "Bird-lair". |
|
| Captain Arthur Curry, The Aqua-Man SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2005/1/21 16:40 3317 6
My entry for the January Challenge. I got this idea after seeing the movie "The League of Extrordinary Gentlemen" a while back: What if some of the JLA were around in Victorian England? So, here's Aquaman as a Captain Nemo- type, complete with Nautilus-like sub. Note the hand- I used a cutlass instead of a hook. Let me know what you think! |
|
| The Flash and Kid Flash SilverAgeMage DC Comics 2004/8/12 16:27 3270 3
I've spent so much time doing obscure Silver Age characters that I thought it was about time I did a genuine S.A. bigshot. So, here's a pic of Barry Allen and his nephew-in-law Wally West taking a leisurely jog through Central City. I used a couple of college athletes for the Fastest Men Alive. |
