| An Amazon Among Us Android DC Comics 2004/6/28 23:54 7578 21
Hello, heromorphers. This is my first post.
Catherine Bell is really fantastic but I frankly do not see her as Wonder Woman. Well... this is not a forum so let me focus in the photomanipulation. This was made for a competition that I won in a bizarre way (nobody else had participated) in http://users3.ev1.net/%7Edukeofdeception/ and based on a Stuff magazine cover.
By the way: I did not see a single prize OR an email from this duke of the deception, a disillusionment in the straight use of the word. |

| Fairchild Android Other Comics 2004/7/11 18:41 5425 10
1. Source: Cory Everson from http://www.petrukhine.ru/gallery/everson_cory/everson_cory_64
2. Commenting image: Many marks of bullets in a wall and an untouched Fairchild in front of it. In this angle, the face of Cory Everson is very similar to the Adam Hughe's drawings. Amazing.
3. Making of: Step 01: Resizing the image. The original image was very small. I increased it and, from that, I had to clean it. It took time. Step 02: Creating new left arm. The left hand was placed below the waist. In truth, I censured the position of this hand. Step 03: Creating uniform. It also took a considerable time. The hexagonal standard was distorted to mold itself to the body of the heroine (Shear and Spherize). Step 04: Creating background. It was made from the mixture of many textures. The bullet marks had been easily created and multiplied.

| O Gralha Android Other Comics 2004/7/15 21:16 3557 6
1. Source: Unknown model from Google (type 1065550699 and search for images). The background were taken from here: http://celepar7.pr.gov.br/portalcomunidade/paginas_comunidade/pg_gralhaazul.asp
2. Commenting image: this is going to be enormous. Gralha is the name of a bird that inhabits Brazil. Unfortunately I do not have the minimum idea if it is known by some other name in English. The shape of the animal can be seen here: http://www.pr.gov.br/seec/gralha/gralha2.html
O Gralha (The Gralha) is indeed a brazilian comic super hero. Some of his authors adore super-heroes; others hate them openly. Still thus, the Gralha is one only. For more details about this character, visit (written in portuguese): http://www.omelete.com.br/quadrinhos/artigos/base_para_artigos.asp?artigo=315
3. Making of: The same old speech. The Gralha's drawing was made by me. The "real" Gralha demonstrates as how it can be ridicule (for the brazilian reality) the concept of a super-hero. With the background and the two Gralhas, I noticed that the composition was very confused... so I decided to add these black bars to simulate a page of comic book and the problem was fixed. |

| Supergirl Android DC Comics 2004/7/22 22:18 7475 11
1. Source: a very, very dubious one if you know what I mean and I have no idea who the model is.
2. Describing the image: Supergirl at the JL headquarters (like in "Kingdom Come"). The table and structure were made with Green Lantern power. So why the chair is gray? Errr... Forgot to paint it with the correct color. Supergirl DOES NOT appear in "Kingdom Come" except in a small square, Android! Answer: I know, I know.

|
| Luthor Android DC Comics 2004/8/1 7:32 3986 11
1. Source: Thiago Lacerda as Superman and Ed Harris as his bald enemy.
2. Commenting image: Luthor, in his glass castle, is being observed by a flying alien. Of course it's a dream to imagine that a brazilian actor would play an all american super hero.

| Forgotten heroes Android TV and Movies 2004/8/8 8:31 4014 10
Originally these four illustrations had been produced separately so that I could distribute them among my RPG players. I am 31 years old and still adore this cartoon (yes. These characters were based on a cartoon).
One of the most complete examples that a good story added to a crew of excellent professionals can conceive one memorable and educational cartoon (for all ages).
I will not reveal the names of these characters. But I will give two tips: 20 years of aging and two people and one animal are missing here.
They've made a comic book with them so I am not cheating you, ladies and gentlemen.

| C2F/HM Crossover??? By Android Android Other Comics 2004/8/8 22:00 4173 11
Where is Lady Heromorph? Unfortunately Tazman did not make her in time. Well... my part is done.
Making of: Dennis Newman's head mixed with another two different bodybuilder's images. Earth found on Google and very manipulated. Lightning effects, nebulae and stars made by hand.
Description: A classic scene of Crisis on Infinite Earths (an enormous cliche). The two web sites, through a cosmic anomaly, touch themselves creating great catastrophe. Lady Heromorph and a second Earth would have to be located in the right side of this image.
Commentaries: I adored this competition but since the proposal was not reached I cannot participate of it (and android sits down and starts dreaming about a land where machines are free).

| Wonder Woman - new costume Android DC Comics 2004/8/15 12:58 5735 10
1. Source: Adriana Sklenarikova from http://www.babefocus.com/viewgallery.php?celebid=8 Are you old enough to drive? No? Then you do not have permission to visit this site.
2. Commenting image: Our favorite princess starting a rescue mission to save some poor soul from the domain of Hades. Well... I don't think she should do that.
3. Making of: Step 01: the original Adriana's image had no legs and hands. It was a hard mission. Step 02: resizing head. The head was too big (visit the above site). I HAD to "fix" it. Step 03: the costume. This was the major problem. I made my best on making a "movie" costume but I am not an ancient costume researcher (I don't know if I wrote it right). I believe that an isolated civilization is condemned to evolve very slowly (as its fashion) but there is an enormous difference between what I think and what I can do. Step 04: background. A lot of cave images mixed together.
P.S.: Did you notice that Diana's comic book costume has nothing in common to an ancient greek culture? I believe this would have to be revisited. One more thing: I do not endorse the idea of having this woman in the Wonder Woman's role. I simply liked her pose in the original photo. |
|
| Panthro Android TV and Movies 2004/8/22 15:24 5200 17
1. Source: Sorry. I do not have such information. If somebody recognizes the man, please tell me.
2. Commenting image: The original image is fantastic. I almost did not use it because it would be very easy to reach the desired result. The pose and the shadows made a spectacular photo.

|
| Cheetara Android TV and Movies 2004/8/29 9:32 6609 17
1. Source: The model is Marie Pierre Ripert, another bodybuilder.
2. Commenting the image: Wonderful pose. Elegant shading. The image, however, was very dirty.
3. Making of: Basically the same steps used for “Panthro”. I liked the boots. Originally, this woman was bare-footed.
Note: Of course I don't think this model is the prettiest woman in the world... But the pose compensated everything. Cheetara would deserve more. |
|
| Tygra Android TV and Movies 2004/9/16 14:04 6514 10
1. Source: Joe de Angelis from http://www.joedeangelis.com/gallery2.htm
2. Making of: The same old speech, ladies and gentlemen. The only thing is worthy to say about would be the metal parts on his body. They were made manually and I mixed them with some effects and two textures: stones and metal.
Note: I like this Tygra. The image shows an introspective knight. It reflects perfectly his personality. |
|
| Lion-O Android TV and Movies 2004/9/16 14:12 6041 12
1. Source: Ronnie Coleman's body and Achim Albrecht's head.
2. Making of: If you are a Thundercats fan, you'll know that this uniform is a little diferent from the original. Let me tell you something: I hate that useless hole in his belly. Textures applied: leather. Hair: true lion hair mixed with woman hair. Lightning: Air brush with glass and screen effects.
Note 01: of all Thundercats that I made, Lion-O is the worst work in my opinion, unfortunately. He has no attitude... He's frozen! Poor composition. It's difficult to find decent images. |
|
| Araucaria Android Other Comics 2005/3/1 11:15 4643 12
There was a long time without postings.
Do you remember "The" Gralha? Very well. Here is his enemy. A girl with the power of a... tree? Sort of. In fact, she can grow herself to the size of buildings. Our hero, powerless in front of her, can only cry and pull out his own hair with anger.
A "enormous" metaphor of a insignificant boy and a real beautiful lady who doesn't care about his attempts for contact.
The real image attached to the manipulation can show you what I have done and how much work and time were spent. |
|
| Death Android DC Comics 2005/6/5 11:57 3412 4
Made by request. The first biblical murder, starvation, crusade and even an old lady with bad ideas are among Death's interpretations.
Scanned, cleaned and concluded by computer. |

| Holy Trinity Android Marvel Comics 2006/3/11 0:56 4350 12
My deepest hope. DC striking back! First time drawing so much Marvel characters (those who became movies or will). There, on the stage, we see Stan Lee and Avi Arad (as I remember). |
|
| Vacation on Apokolips Android DC Comics 2006/3/14 11:13 4234 14
They are just on vacations. That's why there is no trace of stress on their faces. Under the hood, we see Manuela Arcuri and an unknown (but happy) guy. A little note about Miracle's uniform: it's an alien fabric and, so, it does not behave as we know (no wrinkles, therefore). |
|
| A new uniform? Again? Android DC Comics 2006/3/15 5:14 4023 10
Yes. Much time to lose. By the way: this is an update of an ancient work (terrible was it!). |
|
| Supergirl 2.0 Android DC Comics 2006/8/14 16:36 12441 13
1. Source: Lisa Dergan (from Stuff Magazine), woman lying on a bed and a left leg.
2. Describing the image: It is great to be able to carry through a photomanip from a more dynamic composition (Lisa was emerging from the water).
3. Making of: Step 01: Looking for a new body. Although Lisa?s photo was perfect, nothing more it had below the waist to work. Finding a new body was easy. Good!
Step 02: Looking for textures. The same texture for cape and skirt of Supergirl 01. The boots are real but I needed to rearrange their angles to fit themselves on the body.
Step 03: Making blue uniform. The procedures are identical to Supergirl 01.
Step 04: Combining ?Supergirl layers?. Creating other sources of light that did not exist in the original photos are a way to ?marry? them.
Step 05: Making background. Remembering of the wet hair and its new and reconstructed pose, I decided to place Supergirl flying over a distant ocean.
Final note: Now I like her left foot. |

| Dynomutt Android Marvel Comics 2006/8/26 16:20 2504 8
Somebody calls a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals!
That Blue Falcon must learn that even mechs has feelings!
Well... my scanner is dead. So, I did this poor soul with Corel and Photoshop. |
|
| Raven Android DC Comics 2006/10/18 19:31 4477 13
Ladies and gentlemen, this Raven has an unknown model face and Diana Kauffman's body. It was a quick and easy photomanip (but this is not a thing to be proud of). In the future, I'm planning to make all Titans (Nah. I'm lying). If I'm not mistaken, she's the daughter of a human and a demon so the whole original pic (with Diana) just fitted as a glove to her unique condition. |

| Mini Anden as WW Android DC Comics 2006/10/23 10:14 7513 50
Time is a good teacher. Special thanks to Mr. Bill Turner and Mr. Biohaz-Daddy for their criticisms. |
|
| Sci-Fi Homage Android Sci-fi 2006/11/13 14:52 5687 13
From left to right: Jedi Master Khalel as Starchild from "2001: A Space Odyssey". Dathbakpao as a member of the United Federation of Planets (actually he's an amalgam of all Star Trek series). Biohaz Daddy as Hari Seldon's hologram from "Foundation" novels. Jedi Pas Jo Dacle as Dr. Kelvin from "Solaris" book. Trekkie as Paul Moadib from "Dune" novels. (Heh! No Star Trek to you because I'm bad!) Weapon-X as Flash Gordon from the homonym series. Bill Turner as Perry Rhodan from the homonym novels. Almost forgot: that guy in the background is me. Heh!
Description: A sci-fi fellowship coordinates three vessels which makes a journey to understand the cause of the (heh!) premature explosion of our sun as a nova. |
|
| Hawkgirl Android DC Comics 2007/1/3 15:54 5697 16
I promisse I'll never use these beams of light again. Here, however, I felt they worked really well to match my Hawkgirl and to establish a certain mood. Also, I like the feather pattern but by no means I think it is realistic. Anyone who tried to make a Hawkgirl or an Angel knows that!
Liquify and Polar Coordinates were very helpful here to create these wings.
I've put two images side by side, with a few horizontal distortions, in order to form a 3D effect. You gentlemen may attempt to see it by crossing your eyes. |
|
| Supergirl 3.0 Android DC Comics 2007/4/23 16:19 6656 30
Mr. Shade and I made a deal. Here's my part. Supergirl again... and an impossible illumination. Can you see that big yellow ball behind her? That's why. Heh! The model is Victoria Kruz. |
|
| Manip Challenge #2: Mission Impossible - The Incredible Belly Man Android Marvel Comics 2007/5/8 9:38 2913 5
I have a huge amount of photomanips to do! I know that and I don?t intend to ignore them. But, what hell, this is so funny that I couldn?t resist.
I basically used Liquify to change the proportions of this brave (because I wouldn?t show my belly to a camera like that) comic fan. Then, I remade his hair with brush tool (that was the easy part) and built a proper musculature to the green goliath (that was more difficult) using different sizes of brushes and Overlay effect.
This has no intention to be a masterpiece so I decided to keep few things like: the wedding ring, the Bermuda shorts and the background.

| Supergirl 3.1 Android DC Comics 2007/5/25 17:23 5481 16
That will be the last Supergirl for me although I'm very proud of this work! As I said before, Victoria's former version had a very wrong lightning. I thought for a moment and decided to take advantage of the original light source. Then, with a few modifications (her skirt, eyes and brightness), I had the opportunity to make a huge scene. Some comments: Here, Supergirl is activating her heat vision. The driver is oddly similar to a pic of mine. Desert, clouds and money were found on a Google research and very modified. The entire cockpit, including the gun shots, broken glass, crucifix and hand were made by me. |
|
| Silver Banshee Android DC Comics 2007/6/19 17:46 6691 21
Model is (was) Aria Giovani.
Many of you won?t like this Silver Banshee. I know that! Let me explain myself: when I?m trying to make a photo realistic pic, I start wondering what works and what doesn?t in a 3D world.
In the comic books, she appears to use cosmetics in order to alter her face. I don?t believe a supernatural villain would do this! A mummy face is preferable.
Her comic book ?swimming costume? defies gravity. Sorry, I had to preserve her dignity by creating a functional one. It could be understood as a supernatural cloth so it doesn?t need to obey anything but I took the opposite way.
In the background, you ladies and gentlemen can see a pile of old books which is a remembrance of her origin.
Silver Banshee was built as a present to Mr. Bikerbot and I thank all of you who criticized this photomanip during its construction phase.
