Anyhoo...
There's been talk on the DC Messageboards about updating Ted Kord's look when (IF?!) DC ever brings him back. I have to ask, "WHY?". Beetle is a classic Steve Ditko design. No need to drastically change it. Just add a couple of touches to modernize it.

A BB3 original, HIGHLAND LASS is Scotland's Defender. A long-legged, small-chested redhead with an attitude, she's no one to mess with. Aside from her clan tartan (and like a true Scot, she doesn't wear anything underneath! ), she dresses in blue and white, the colors of Scotland's flag.
As Sean Connery's tattoo reads: "Scotland Forever". |

Apparently, when Beetle was in the shower, Booster snuck into Teddy's (Tedina's? Theodora's?) room and stole all the clothes in there. But hey, atleast Booster left a t-shirt. Unfortunately, it was THAT t-shirt!

An altenate dimension's BLUE BEETLE, the BLACK BEETLE is bad-ass. How bad-ass? He lets his cohorts call him "Teddy"! THAT'S BAD-ASS! I once described him by saying, "He's smarter than you. You know he's smarter than you. And he knows he's smarter than you!" Now, his favorite stripper/prostitute is hotter than yours!
TIFFANY, that dimension's version of ICE is accompanying him.

As some of you may know, I prefer Michael3 to Michael4 for my superheroes. However, M4 does offer better facial morphs, which is a plus for some characters... Guy Gardner being one.
This Gardner uses many of the same items as his M3 brother: RDNA Aztec Hair, Vadlor's Guy Vest, EZTop collar, etc. |

Charlton Comics had a lot of "Action Heroes", but, these three are the best known: Captain Atom, Blue Beetle, and the Question. In 1984, DC Comics bought most of Charlton's characters and incorporated them into their line after "Crisis on Infinite Earths".
Sad to realize that all three of these characters are now considered "dead" by DC.  |

After the second round, LADY HEROMORPH transports all the contestants to underground tunnels via a dimensional portal. But, before she does, she outlines somethings for the contestants:
"The object of the next round is to find the RED CRYSTAL! But, before you do, you have to find someone you know. YOU have to find them. They can't find you... mostly because after we snatched them we stuck them in a cell somewhere. Once you find them... and FREE them... they become your partner for the rest of the game!"
Will ICE find the person she knows? Well... yeah. |

To paraphrase Lord Byron, she's "...mad, bad, and dangerous to know." A bb3 original, MEGNASITA is an evil alien sorceress. That's all you need to know.

Archeologist Dan Garrett found an azure scarab in a tomb under a pyramid. The scarab showed Dan Garrett a vision, in which it told him to "say the words". When Garrett said "Kaji Dha", he transformed into the BLUE BEETLE.
With enhanced strength, near-invulnerability, flight, and the the ability to shot a lightening-like energy from his eyes and hands, he fought the fight for law and justice.
Decided to go "old-school" again. Only this time with Blue Beetle! All Poser, no filler. |

Not just Blue Beetle in his uniform from I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League. No, no. This is the evil Mirror Universe Blue Beetle.
If you read the story, the "Super Buddies" wind up on an alternate Earth after leaving Hell (Don't ask!). This Earth had evil dopplegangers of some of the heroes (including a dominatrix Mary Marvel! Hotcha!). At one point Mirror Sue Dibny asked Mirror Max Lord why our Beetle was "wearing Teddy's costume". So, although we never got to see the Mirror Blue Beetle, we know he exists, he wears the black costume, and he doesn't look like our Ted Kord.
So how could I make him look different?
