just a wee avatar I did for another sight. The picture is from a poster of "Lust for Life", and the actor is Kirk Douglas portraying Vincent Van Gogh....get it? Oh ya...it's the tick...duh. I thought I'd finally merge my two personas from here and the fakir world.

ok, this is the final image because I need to move on to another project, so I copped out on the background. I used a chicken scratch technique to paint on the metallic textures and scratches in the armour. The only source images used were for the background and the collar texture, everything else was painted in APS: CS3.

| I was never really satisfied with the original output of this piece so I spent some time this week reworking and tweeking the original into this here. Was originally a pencil sketch in a sketchbook that just got done over in photoshop. It's not perfect, but it's about as much time as I'm willing to put into it with other projects on the go...enjoy. |

Here is a page from the online comic project I'm working on. I have been experimenting with organic paneling. While, ultimately I feel the story telling aspect fails in these panels, they serve as a worthwhile exercise nevertheless. I don't think I have the skill as a sequential artist to pull off something elaborate and free flowing like this without having the story telling suffer. For now I'm going to stick with traditional paneling until I have a bit more experience under my belt. I hope you enjoy for the compositions and dynamic imagery regardless of the failed experiment. I will upload some more as well, the first book is complete, all my updates will go to the facebook page below until my website is live in the fall. Everything will of course be free.
