| Jennifer Anniston as the Invisible Woman Daruma Marvel Comics 2003/12/7 12:35 4522 6
I suppose I don't need to tell anyone here this, but drawing people in spandex is hard! Anyway, here is another of my "casting call" pics. I like Jennifer in this role because while she's really hot, she could still pull off that sort of matronly look. I thought about putting her in some sort of background, but I like the idea that she's still casting a shadow, and the white backing helps pull that off. I am having a lot of fun with this, but I swear, you guys make this look too easy. Comments? Critisisms? I would love to hear either. |

| honkey-tonk woman Daruma TV and Movies 2004/1/4 11:50 3810 2
Faye Valentine and Ein from the "Cowboy Bebop" anime series. If you don't know about this show, rent the dvd with the episode "mushroom samba" next time you're at the video store. Anyway, I nearly gave up on this one, but once I had the idea to put the dog in, I couldn't resist. Then I found the page curl tool and did the "old photo" effect. Not crazy about tha actual manip, but I liked the concept. Enjoy! |

| Human Torch on patrol Daruma Marvel Comics 2004/4/5 23:54 3043 5
Wanted to try a flying pic. The model is Kyle Prandi of the U.S. Diving team, with a few layers of flames on him. Used a flamethrower for the trail. For being a quickie, and my first time playing with fire, I kinda like it! |

| Chairface Chippendale Daruma Other Comics 2004/5/2 1:48 5825 10
Kallisti's Tick picture inspired me to whip out this quickie of The Tick's arch-nemisis carving his name into the moon. Could be better, but for a quick two hour project, I am pleased. |

| Black Cat Daruma Marvel Comics 2004/7/19 0:22 4538 8
Inspired by the sassy, sexy Cat that appears in the Spider-Man 2 video game. A lot of frankensteining went into this, but I did all of the hair and fur by hand(by mouse..?), as well as some of the shinies in her outfit. I am pretty happy with it overall, though my edges are still rough, and the cat looks fake. |

| Phoenix pinup Daruma Marvel Comics 2004/12/20 2:37 5795 16
This was my first pic done with photoshop 6, so I wanted to keep it simple. Pretty much just followed Black Alchemy's start 2 finish tutorial. When I know what I'm doing a little more I'll give her a background. |

To fully appreciate this picture, you should also see this one: http://heromorph.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=700
Waaaayyyy back in the day, I posted my very first "for real" photomanip, a picture of Harry Connick, Jr. as Gambit. At the time, I said I would have liked to put him in a movie style costume with a 'gator skin coat, but I didn't have the skills. Today, my friends and admirers, I give you this. Not the pinnacle of photomanipulation by any means, but still much better than the first one. I decided to go with the "official" movie wallpaper look this time around, but I may still finish the full color, full body version. I have a pretty good idea of where it could be better, but I'm not really sure how to do it. Any tips? |

| Emma Frost #1 Daruma Marvel Comics 2005/10/26 20:11 6492 18
Okay so for a while, I've been wanting to do a close-as-possible reproduction of an actual comic cover. After finally deciding on a specific cover, and finding a model(Jana Cova, BB) that was as close to perfect as I could probably hope for, I was in business. I quick masked and painted on the costume(my first time trying seams and zippers-Jr, I hate you ), franked in the bench and rose, and got the wall, arch, grass, and walkway from a couple of paintings, then finally I found a tiny strand of ivy that I duplicated 37(!) times to cover the wall. I had to give Greg Horn credit on the cover, cause it is his concept, after all. Maybe now I can get some sleep, at least until I start on my tournament pic. Post away peoples, but rememeber, any emoticons and I'll be forced to.....uh.....drink this beer!(crap, this is empty. Better go get another hostage...) |

| Tournament round 2-Man Thing Daruma Marvel Comics 2005/12/17 15:02 3222 8
When I first started thinking about what to use as a base for Man Thing, I thought about using a picture of the Hulk. I couldn't find one I liked, though. For a month, I had no other ideas about how to approach a Man Thing pic. Then, in the wee hours of this morning, I had the rather silly idea of showing him on the toilet. "Probably too late to do anything with it now...", I thought. Then, this afternoon, in a final, desperate google, I came accross a picture of the Hulk on the toilet. I love it when a plan comes together . I slapped a Bowen Designs bust over the Hulk, and added a little bit of color and shadows. Not my proudest moment, but hopefully it will make up in laughs what it lacks in artistic ability. Now to email Billy and tell him about the "deadline extention" ...MWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! |

| Heromorph artist's tournament round 3 - Spider Woman and Plastic Man Daruma Marvel Comics 2006/2/28 19:17 7016 16
My pic for the rather rudely interrupted tournament. I actually had this one done two weeks early. Figures... |

| Bad Monkey Daruma Other Comics 2006/3/8 22:57 2797 4
Just a little something I scribbled down while taking a break from my tournament pic. Deep in the jungle, King Louie encounters a witch doctor who can grant him control over fire, but the ceremony requires a human sacrifice. Louie delivers the man-cub, Mowgli, and finally has the power of man's red flower. Yes, that's supposed to be fire in his hand. |

| draw-off inspired fun Daruma Other Comics 2006/4/5 10:23 2388 4
Okay, I basically just re-colored a picture of Hong Kong Phooey to turn him into Iron Fist. I didn't have time to do the glowing fist effects....just use your inagination . I also accidentally made the picture reeeeeaaaaly small, which is why this is all jaggy and pixelated. |

Slapped some colors on Thayne_Luc's very cool pencils. This was my first real coloring attempt, and I had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks go to Winterhawk for his excellent coloring tutorial. |

| Frylock Daruma Smackdown 2006/6/21 1:31 3365 9
My entry into the super summer smackdown, Frylock from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Shown here chillin in his front yard. This was fairly easy, it's Ben Affleck's face(from "Chasing Amy") on a box of McDonald's fries. Googled the house, made the door and "curtains" from scratch. |

| Smackdown! Get your stinkin' paws of of me, you damn dirty ape! Daruma Smackdown 2006/8/6 21:52 3051 7
Well, as you can see, poor old Frylock didn't quite make it through the Gorilla attack unscathed. In fact, here we see him suffering a compound fracture to one of his fry bones at the hands of the Bat-shit crazy Azbat, using a mind-control device on one of the rampaging primates. "But Dar, who ever heard of fries with bones in them?"...well, as everybody knows, Frylock is not actually made of french fries, as shown here: http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/6374/visiblefrylockef8.jpg |

| Smackdown round 3 - Frylock gets nosy Daruma Smackdown 2006/9/15 17:43 3229 8
Frylock sneaks back to his cabin with the mysterious briefcase that never seems to leave Winterhawk's possesion, looking for something to give him an upper hand against the mighty elder god...

| Webgeek's Spyder Daruma Original Characters 2006/11/24 21:20 3522 4
I got to thinking about this pic tonight, and how it's probably one of my favorites, and just now realized that I never posted it here. This is a manip I did a while ago of Webgeek's original character Spyder. She is a spy-for-hire with lots of nifty super-spy gadgets built into her costume, as well as a staff weapon that doubles as a hacking tool. That's about all I remember |

| Secret Santa present for Raddar Daruma Marvel Comics 2006/12/23 3:04 3396 9
This pic was loads of fun for me to do! I had never really tried metal, rain, or lightning effects, so I got to try out a bunch of new tricks. Pretty happy with the way it came out, other than the fact that it's ultimate Thor holding 616 Thor's hammer, but I just couldn't find a good picture of that huge thing he carries in 'Ultimates'. Anyway, hope you like it, Raddar! |

| Master Shake Daruma TV and Movies 2007/9/17 0:06 3165 7
I thought a few of you might get a kick out of this Master Shake I made out of a 32 oz Coke cup Obviously, Frylock is more than a little skeptical about Shake escaping into the third dimension.
Also, if anyone's interested, I can provide the psd of Shake's 'skin', which I believe should be easy to apply as a 3D texture. |
