| Avengers Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/8/6 17:37 4970 7
My first group shot. I made this in 2002.
I think the Avengers would make a great movie or TV series. Here's my casting:
Iron Man is a Horizon model (imagine Dylan McDermott inside); Wasp is Christina Ricci; Scarlet Witch is Paulina Porizkova; Captain America is Casper Van Dien; and She-Hulk is Gabrielle Reece.
Kang on the monitor is from Avengers 469 by Kieron Dwyer. |

| Black Cat: After Dark Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2006/7/13 5:13 5591 15
Victoria Silvstedt as the Black Cat, taking a slight pause whilst she adjusts her accoutrements. Thanks to Dragondack for the base pic, and to all the folks who work-shopped this for me. |
|
| Cap Fix Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2010/6/4 5:54 3605 7
Captain America without the head wings is like Batman without the bat ears. It just doesn't look right. It is an arbitrary change just because they have no function. So be like Batman Begins and give them a function. |
|
| Dazzler: The Movie Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2003/11/1 8:10 5080 5
"I'm not a movie poster, not yet a cover replica." Dazzler is Britney Spears from the Live in Las Vegas poster. Enchantress is Christina Aguilera. Spider-man is Tobey (maybe) from the movie. Iron Man is the Horizon model. Nightcrawler is Alan Cumming, who was in X2. The design is based on Dazzler #1's cover. |
|
| Gaea: Earth Day Freshmutt Fantasy 2010/4/22 12:48 4102 10
In honor of Earth Day, this is a re-imagining of Gaea as a literal Mother Earth not Thor's mom from the comics.
Base is Demi Moore by Annie Leibowitz.
Bump for 2010. |

| Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman with color Freshmutt TV and Movies 2014/7/31 6:39 2886 6
As usual, movies drain the color from superhero costumes. Here's a quick n' dirty recolor. |
|
| Jocasta Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/8/6 17:37 5315 13
Gifted with human feelings, yet cursed to be the bride of Ultron, tragic Jocasta craves the Avengers acceptance, though they can never fully trust her.
The main base is model Irina Voronina. The mirror-like finish was achieved by screening distorted pieces of an earlier manip onto her colorized skin. You may be able to pick out bits of your favorite Avengers in the reflections.
To see Jocasta's POV, check out my Avengers manip. |

Here is the last frame from my animation. |
|
| Lucy Pinder as Wonder Woman Freshmutt DC Comics 2005/8/13 5:24 10588 11
This time I used real metal for the costume. I manipped the ornament from the top of a flag into the breastplate and tiara.
This is my official 2005 Wonder Woman manip. I've done one every year since 1999.
Update: Okay here are those baby blues. Thanks Jr. |
|
| Nova Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/6/18 5:17 3615 7
This is Nova the herald of Galactus. The base is olympic diver Erin Quinn turned upside-down. I inverted the light and dark and used various photoshop effects on her skin. Everything else is from scratch. |
|
| Poison Ivy Freshmutt DC Comics 2003/10/21 13:42 7150 8
Pamela Isley relaxes at her rooftop garden after a long day of floral felonies and botanical badness. I used Photoshop's Pattern Maker to cover model Susan Smith with poison ivy leaves. I dyed her hair and greened her eyes and lips. The Gotham City skyline is a maniped Chicago from Google. |
|
| Princess Leia "There is another..." Freshmutt TV and Movies 2006/7/13 5:16 4484 9
Leia as a Jedi in training after Episode VI.
The face is Carrie Fisher from Episode IV. The body is an unknown sword-wielding woman wearing strange pants. I added the face, costume, training remotes, lightsaber, and padawan braid. |

| She-Hulk Pre-do Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2022/5/25 7:52 615 0
This is a photomanip I made in 1998 or 99. Back then it was hard to find hi-res images to work with (not that my 1994 Mac Performa could handle them anyway.) This image is only 466 pixels tall, but my screen was only 640x480 back then so it seemed huge. I had just switched to Photoshop 4 from Color Mac Cheese, the paint program that came with the Mac, and as you can see, I wasn’t very good at it. I never posted this one to Heromorph or even Comics2Film, but I stumbled upon it while looking through a very old hard drive. I decided it was time for a redo using all the skills I developed at Heromorph over the years. The model is the late Anna Nicole Smith circa 1993. (In the nineties, the web was mostly pics of Anna Nichole Smith.) The subject is She-Hulk, soon to star in her own Disney+ series. Let me know what you think. |

| She-Hulk Re-do Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2022/5/24 16:02 583 0
Here is the redo of one of my oldest manips, Anna Nicole Smith as She-Hulk in her 1980s Fantastic Four costume. |

Lady Heromorph is Vivian Swan. I used the mask posted by TylerMcDowell. Parts 1, 2, and 3 are in the members gallery. |

| Smackdown 3: She-Hulk R4 P5 Freshmutt Smackdown 2008/10/25 12:01 3930 7
Android is from "Bicentennial Man." Background is from "Star Trek II." |
|
| Storm Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/2/2 3:33 4249 5
I have always wanted Iman to play Storm in the movies. And I think the original costume is still the best. This is my first photo-manip where none of the original photo is left. I completely painted over it in Photoshop. |
|
| Tigra Banks Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2006/6/23 17:39 5872 20
This is one of those times where the base pic (http://www.amber-frey.net/pics2/Tyra-Banks-bra-1.jpg) just jumps up and says, "Do me!"
The hair, the pose, the make-up, they all seemed like Tigra to me. She was even wearing a bra with a chunky piece of jewelry in the center.
I figured since the photo was obviously designed with Tigra in mind, I might as well finish it. |
|
| Tomb Raider Freshmutt Video Game 2004/9/3 3:53 14050 7
English glamour model, Lucy Pinder, as Lara Croft, crawling around in some evil-infested jungle ruin. This took a lot of work. The clothes were all from scratch and I had to redo her hair. The background was done in photoshop using 2-point perspective (this would have been easier if I had a 3D modeling app) and decorated with found photos. The reflection in the water is practically another manip. I Frankensteined parts of my original Lara onto another pic of Pinder. The pistol was a found photo. |
|
| Warbird Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2003/11/6 13:33 4513 6
Here????????s Warbird buzzing her namesake. The model is Natasha Henstridge of ???????She Spies.??????? While there are a lot of pics of her on the www, there are none I could find of her in flight. This pose was Frankensteined together from 8 different pictures, all of Natasha. So several hours went into this before I even got to the costume stage. The plane is from a company in Florida. |
|
| Wonder Woman Costume Freshmutt DC Comics 2006/6/17 17:14 6429 14
With this version of Wonder Woman, I am focusing on a realistic costume as it might appear in a movie. The problem with the Linda Carter costume, beside looking like a showgirl's, is that it is one piece anchored at her hips. (Type "Lucy Lawless nip slip" into Google images to see what happens when you move your upper body too much while wearing such a rig. NSFW) A real WW costume would have to be two pieces.
Here Maria Menounos is wearing a leather corset topped with Byzantine style lamellar. Each feather is a separate piece of metal. When laced together they form solid-looking yet flexible armor. The Celtic circlet features a Burmese star ruby (round with a star effect inside) rather than a red star just painted on.
Thanks to everyone who helped me with advice. |
|
| Wonder Woman Cover Freshmutt DC Comics 2004/8/10 4:22 4728 6
Every so often I take a stab at the Wonder Woman costume. This time I used my wife, Jamie, as the model. All of the costume pieces were created from scratch in Photoshop. The background is from the Black Hawk Down game |
|
| Wonder Woman Jane Russell Freshmutt DC Comics 2003/10/21 13:51 6103 5
Screen legend Jane Russell as the golden age Wonder Woman. I used two different black and white shots of Russell and pieced them at the waist and colorized them. The lasso is a real rope and the eagle is from the back of a quarter. All other costume elements were drawn in Photoshop.
