| Flashback Kallisti 2004/6/19 16:02 2903 2
Another character from Omega Flight, this is Flashback. He's the one on the right. The other guy is one of any number of temporal counterparts Flashback can summon at will. |

| Emma Frost 2 Jedifan227 2004/6/18 20:25 5988 3
This is a newer version of Emma. I loved the model, and the pic was high-res enough to get the look I wanted. Enjoy! |

| nova by batmic BatMic 2004/6/18 15:29 3226 6
i've had this base for a while and that other pic of nova was the push i needed to do something with it. the only thing i can't seem to work out is getting the starry reflections on the body, right now it just looks like gold paint. if any one has any ideas please let me know. |
|
| Nova Freshmutt 2004/6/18 5:17 3623 7
This is Nova the herald of Galactus. The base is olympic diver Erin Quinn turned upside-down. I inverted the light and dark and used various photoshop effects on her skin. Everything else is from scratch. |

| Spiderman & Black Widow by Brick Brick 2004/6/17 23:03 4327 10
I tried my best to eke out a decent picture despite the low rez base(s). This puppy weighs in at a whopping 60 kb. Do you think it works?
<edit> Oh yeah... Max still has not given me my fancy new logo yet, so standard text message was applied.

| spider-girl by batmic BatMic 2004/6/14 9:47 4599 11
i did something quite stupid with this. i started off making just the mask and i liked how it turned out so then i began making the rest of the suit but i couldn't get the mask and the suit to look the same. it hopefully isn't that noticeable but to me it sticks out a mile.
next time i'll leave the rest of her costume and post it i the adult gallery, i'm sure there's an audience for naked swinging spider-chicks.
this is also the debut of my logo, almost every one has one, so....! |

| Wasp goes for a ride... Kallisti 2004/6/12 13:52 5641 15
Yeah yeah, i know Janet probably doens't do much motorcycle riding, but i figured this background would be cool for scale purposes. Plus, it gave me the opportunity to make that nifty liscense plate. Also, i am well aware that she has red hair, not black, but i like this model and i plan on using her for a couple of other Wasp pics i have planned. So there. Enjoy! Comments welcome, requested, and appreciated. |

| Blink-FHM model Blubeetlesooperhero 2004/6/8 22:05 4276 6
Fine Hottie Mutants? Anyway the base is an FHM cover I saw online, thought it looked good so I spent all day tweaking it into this pic of Blink...what do you all think? |

| "*Zzzzap!*" Tori Spelling as Electro BikerBot 2004/6/8 16:45 5955 17
Tori started out standing on a kitchen counter in the base pic, and the reason her head's chopped off is that's the way it was in the base, and I felt like leaving it that way. Spider-Girl is off the cover of #65. Lightning was done using a tutorial, plus setting one of the lightning layers to Screen. The second-to-last 10% on this one was her mask, I threw away the first version. This is another one to answer Optical's challenge. On this one I _did_ make the background. Don't be surprised if it shows up again...
Oops! Spelled the word "Zzzzap" wrong. |

| Red Sonja by Heroglyh Heroglyph 2004/6/8 12:10 8022 7
My first attempt at an entirely "Frankensteined" piece. All of teh body parts came from various pics of Dina Meyer (Starship troopers/Birds of Prey) except for the legs and chest which belong to Angelica Bridges. I found a pic of her in fantasy gear. Apparently she played Red Sonja on the short lived Conan TV series a few years ago.
The hardest part was getting all of the lighting to match up as well as getting the skin tones to mesh. Some of the bodyparts still seem a little off, especially the hands, but I am calling this one done for now. |

| Shanna the She-Devil Kallisti 2004/6/5 14:21 5138 4
honestly i never even considered this character for a manip... until i saw this base pic. i couldn't pass it up. essentially a quickie, it was more of a practice piece than anything else. i wanted to do a lot of frankensteining (everything she's wearing except the fur thing) and i wanted to experiment with fur for my cat-themed manip in progress. plus i haven't posted anything new since heromorph has been back up. |

| Eddie Brock as Venom w/ Mask JesterGfx 2004/6/4 14:27 3691 3
Here's my attempt of this picture w/ his mask on. It really proved to be a headache (but I kinda saw that coming). I hope you like it! |

| "Explosive!" Kylie Bax as Binary BikerBot 2004/6/4 6:12 5075 9
1st repost of this. Here's hoping there won't be a second...
This was created as a response to Optical's call for me to use a background. Exponentially more work when using a background, but I learned a lot. This one was almost done, then it sat for weeks. Why is the last 10% of a Manip always the most difficult? *G!* |

Here's a wall-crawler manip I started for fun, took forever though doing all the lines. |

| The Masters of Evil (Assorted Members) Kallisti 2004/5/15 13:53 4414 9
Possibly my most ambitious effort to date, it all finally came together and made sense this afternoon. i was originally gonna do about 6 villains, but decided to just go with these four. i'm especially happy with the way Blackout's darkforce power is represented in the background, and i like the way Eel II's superslick coated battlesuit came out. things i'm not sure i got right, and would like tips on, would be Titania's hair, and the lenses in Yellowjacket's goggles. Enjoy! |

| Spider Woman Kallisti 2004/5/15 8:53 4656 12
So i "finished" this manip a month or two ago, never could get a background to work because the hair was proving just too time consuming for me to want to deal with. i figured i'd never post it, but i wound up using it to test an idea i had about making costumes look a little thicker, so i tried it out. i guess i'll go ahead and post it background-less, as sort of a preview of the Masters of Evil project i'm working on... |

| Scarlett Witch (Costume Alterations) DarqueImages 2004/5/8 17:57 4579 5
Brooke Burke is the base model. This one was a collective 15 hours put into it, and I'm posting it unfinished simply because I got sick of looking at it. No background no effects just her. |

| FXM Tryptich LocalHero 2004/5/6 10:41 3717 7
I don't know if these are technically photomanips, howver they are manipping photos onto existing images so it's close enough. These are the three manipped Greg Horn images that formed the backdrop to my FXM/Emma Frost Piece. I manipped Jaime Presley's face onto each of the images and then unified the cholor schemes into a pale faux sepia tone. Just thought you might like to see the details. |

| Wanted: Litigator. Apply Fisk Industries LocalHero 2004/5/6 10:35 4564 7
Ok, I wanted to do a follow up to my Elektra/Loss Adjuster pic for a while now, and when I found this pic of Cindy Crawford I immediately thought it would make a great base for She-Hulk, Jennifer Walters.
The source image was a bit messy so I had to do some tidying before I began. The first thing I did was to broaden the shoulders and deepen the chest using the free deform tool. This was then blended back into the original image. I then created a mask of 'shulkie' so I could keep things neat later. The background is created from scratch over the original murky black curtain. I used some mauve gradient fills to create a floor/wall join and to provide some lighting. I used the same effect to create the window behind 'shulkie' making a faux 3d effect to frame the image of new york street signs I found on google. The spidey is taken from a pic of a statue of him peeking in another window. I shaded him to make him darker and as if lit from the room. Over spidey and the street seen I created a glass pane using the noise filter then motion and gausian blur to give it some interest, and a white/black gradient to make it look shiny. The brief case was another google find which to which I added Walters stenciling and a shadow and floor reflection to blend it with the image.
All pretty simple stuff, but I just wanted to make sure I kept my basic skills up during a dry creative spell |

| Scarlet Witch Flux 2004/5/6 8:15 5904 10
Well here it is! I've been working on this on and off for a while now and its finaly finished. Its the first time I've maniped the Scarlet Witch and I have to say I'm pritty pleased how its turned out. I have tryed out some new techniques for me on this one like the texture effect on her clothes and the coller. Any way I'd be greatful for your thoughts as always.
Cheers |

| Rawhide Kid by Heroglyph Heroglyph 2004/5/6 0:01 4753 4
This one turned out to be quite difficult due to all of the wrinkles and trying to make the shirt look like denim. I think it turned out OK in the end. |

| to kill a Mockingbird (by DM711) Divine_Monkey711 2004/5/4 7:32 5252 7
Christina Aguilera as Mockingbird. Not the best casting choice, perhaps, but I have a reason: this is actually a re-make of my "the Lynx -original character" manip. When I finished it, I thought: hey, this should be easy to make into mockingbird. Well, it wasn't. But here it is. Hope u like it! |

i got a little carried away with this one. it started off as a rogue pic but i had trouble finding a background so instead, i kept adding other members. i still couldn't think of a good background so you'll have to forgive the cop-out. |
