Based upon the movie THOR - some slight alterations of the theme A I created virtually everything from the ground up but used real images of hands
Some cases using real material for effects then merging it
This is going to be partially redone into a team Avengers picture But will separate each character into images as well

| Okay now I'm a HUGE fan of NORSE MYTHOLOGY and in all the reading I've done they ALWAYS describe Thor as having red hair and a beard . . . so I wanted to incorporate the qualities from the mythology books with some of the aspects of the comic book, I never really liked the costume Marvel came up with but i kept some of the key elements and gave them a more VIKING feel to them. . .hope you like my twist on the character, I'm happy with the outcome |

I did this awhile ago for my job when we were doin' tees for Marvel, it was a fun project and I like the way the texture came out on the Thing's rocky hide . . . .

Whenever I do an illustration of the Thing it's always a great experience, since he has so much texture and personality . . . I've done versions of him in Photoshop and with markers, and recently I'd gotten into colored pencils . . . so this time I decided to merge two of my worlds and did this version of him in my graffiti style with colored pencils and 1 marker to outline him . . . the colored pencils and Canson paper were perfect for his rocky hide . . . I had a blast!

Take note of the date under the RL signature... since then I haven't been able to draw anything for myself. Fortunately, the prospect of earning some cash has kept the pencil (and airbrush) working. I didn't have a pencil with this one, I had at my disposal: a 11x14 sketchbook, a red gel pen, a blue gel pen, black gel pen, and various metallic gel pens.
