| EXPOSURE & BANZAI GIRL: WHO'S THEIR DADDY? (Final) by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2014/4/1 7:29 3577 2
As you all know, I both write and draw my own free serialized online comic book BANZAI GIRL on banzaigirl.keenspot.com and draw the sexy supernatural series EXPOSURE on exposure.keenspot.com.
I'm working right now on preparing a hardcover EXPOSURE Volume 2 collection to be released this fall, and the last piece needed was a caricature of EXPOSURE's writer and creator, David Campiti. So I came up with the idea of him being fawned over by his creations Lisa Shannon and Shawna Diaz from EXPOSURE, while my own self-named BANZAI GIRL character Jinky Coronado is miffed at the lack of attention she's getting.
I hope you like the results! Art by me, with coloring by Katrina MaeHao.
Let me know what you think of it!

| EXPOSURE & BANZAI GIRL: WHO'S THEIR DADDY? Line Art by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2014/3/22 19:40 2310 2
Here's the line art for this pinup, which I'm creating for EXPOSURE creator/writer David Campiti's bio page in the EXPOSURE: Volume 2 book that's going to press this summer.
His characters Lisa and Shawna hang off his every word, and I'm not liking it one bit!
I'm the one who usually gets the attention!
Hope you like it! Maybe you'd like to be in his position?

| BANZAI GIRL: SELF-PORTRAIT IN THREES! (2nd Version Final Color) by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2014/1/15 6:33 4019 3
This is the slightly sexier version I think everyone will be happiest with -- with my alter-ego painting my self-portrait, and featuring the regulation Heromorph-approved skirt shot.
Please let me know which version you like best!
(By the way: I am still available to draw custom commissions, if anyone's interested. Let me know!)

| BANZAI GIRL: SELF-PORTRAIT IN THREES! (Version 2) by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2014/1/13 12:38 2388 2
Not sure why I get a lot of Emails rather than posts here on Heromorph, but a few fans wanted me to do the much-expected "upskirt" version of this drawing for them.
How can I say no? I know the Heromorph rule: "If you can't see the thong, you're doing it wrong."
I try not to break that rule. I apologize.

BANZAI GIRL! The comics character and the real person! Drawn by me, colored by Katrina MaeHao, based on the classic painting by Norman Rockwell. Google his original to see what I did. :)
Hope you like this full-color version!

| BANZAI GIRL: SELF-PORTRAIT IN THREES! (Line Art) by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2014/1/3 11:03 2499 3
I've received a number of Emails asking me to do a more realistic version of myself as BANZAI GIRL. That inspired me to think about what kind of whimsical self-portrait I could do.
I finally decided to do a drawing based on the classic Normal Rockwell self-portrait. This is the first version, in line art. It incorporates my normal comics style with a more realistic technique.
I hope you like it!
By the way: A reminder that BOTH of my comics series, EXPOSURE and BANZAIGIRL, are continuing as free serialized adventures on Keenspot! Stories are unfolding right now on banzaigirl.keenspot.com, and new EXPOSURE adventures will roll out later this month!

The Mummy wasn't done with poor Jinky yet! After trapping Banzai GIrl helplessly within the skin-tight, gossamer-thin mummy wrap, ol' dusty breath tries to entomb her in a sarcophagus!

| EXPOSURE: Panel Play by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2013/8/31 20:10 2718 2
I thought I'd share this single panel from EXPOSURE: DISCIPLES OF THE DEAD!, a story I've done for exposure.keenpsot.com.
It's a simple panel I've pencilled here, really: Lisa Shannon is discussing strategy with someone off-panel, as Alan and Graham respond behind her. But I just really like how Lisa's figure turned out -- length of her toned legs, body curves, expression, even the movement of her wind-blown hair.
Hope you like it!

| BANZAI GIRL/EXPOSURE BEHIND THE SCENES (Final) by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2013/8/6 21:08 5452 1
Here we are, hard at work! Up in Canada, EXPOSURE co-writer Bill Yu toils away on the next EXPOSURE script while his inspirations Lisa and Shawna get their beauty sleep.
Meanwhile, down in Florida, David works on his half of the EXPOSURE scripts, while I slave away on EXPOSURE art and BANZAI GIRL story and art. And lively Larry Tuazon has sneaked in from Manila to help me out on the finishes!
Art by me, color by Katrina MaeHao.
Both comics series found here: banzaigirl.keenspot.com and exposure.keenspot.com

| EXPOSURE: Haunted House! Page 1 by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2013/7/27 20:19 2821 2
I'm working right now on a haunted house story for EXPOSURE, which will be featured next month on exposure.keenspot.com
I'd previously posted a piece here on Heromorph that showed the Exposure gang dolled up like Scooby-Doo characters, complete with dog. Now, I figured, why not actually do them in a whole Scooby-style story?
So here's line art for page 1! Let me know what you think.

| EXPOSURE: BODY WRAP! by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2013/7/12 8:09 3314 5
There's nothing like a warm, luxurious spa body wrap....and certainly this is nothing like it at all!
A former cop, EXPOSURE's sassy SHAWNA DIAZ is entangled in a perilous police investigation meant to stop her at any cost -- and only lovely LISA SHANNON can save her!
(EXPOSURE continues its new adventures right now on exposure.keenspot.com. Check it out!)
Art is by yours truly, color by Katrina MaeHao, based on a Batgirl cover idea I saw online.
By the way: I will be at Comic-Con all 5 days, July 17 - 21, 2013, signing and sketching at the Keenspot/Red Giant booth #2635. See you there?

| EXPOSURE: BANZAI ANALYSIS! by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2013/7/5 6:17 4527 4
Writing and/or drawing multiple comic book series can leave one a bit schizophrenic. As creators, we have to get inside the minds of our characters, so that we can portray them well on paper. We don't want to use stock poses and expressions; we'd much rather have our characters giving a performance, acting and reacting on the page.
Working on both my own schoolgirl creation BANZAI GIRL (serialized for free on banzaigirl.keenspot.com) and David Campiti's sexy supernatural series EXPOSURE (also serialied for free, on exposure.keenspot.com), I find myself studying and planning and defining the differences between lovely Lisa Shannon and sassy Shawna Diaz, and making sure I focus on the differences between them.
But sometimes, drawing two long-haired, delicious damsels panel after panel, page after page, can get a trifle confusing. So I imagined myself - -- as Banzai Girl, of course -- as a psychiatrist trying to analyze Lisa and Shawna....who further confuse me by pulling off Mission: Impossible masks to reveal their true selves!
What do you think of my analysis?
