| The Dark Knightess joshmc 2007/9/8 21:28 6969 21
Enough of my own viral marketing, here it is! I said I'd never do another Batgirl, but that damn Chris Nolan had to go a head and change the suit design for the sequel so I figured I might as well follow suit. Basically, the only reference I used, indeed the only reference I had for a long time was the profile shot of the new outfit release a few months back. It was all pretty much guess work and when those leaked pics got out on the net a few weeks ago, I was finally able to tweak the design even further. This is the most complex thing I've ever created, something like 300 layers were used, lots of custom pieces, countless hours in my spare time. Anne Hathaway suited the role before, so there's was no point changing that, just used a slightly different image. The result is 1000 times better than the original Batgirl I did before, infact it pains me to look at that one. The Dark Knightess has arrived! |

An edgier, sexier WW for the times. Always said I would never do a Wonder Woman manip; there are too many out there already, but I came across this costume and thought it should be represented. I frankensteined this one quite a bit, because I already had the exact pose I wanted in mind. What took the longest time to do, was to find the perfect face and hair. Took me a couple days to find the right celeb face. Can you tell who it is? |

| 1 hour Supergirl By Winterhawk Winterhawk 2004/7/31 23:24 6960 9
Over at C2F, they had a challenge to do a manip in one hour. You had to include time for base model searching and any other prep work in your one hour time limit. For the full rules of this challenge you can find it here ( http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/Forum7/HTML/003168.html ). I thought that it was an interesting Idea so I took part. Normally, I work pretty fast but this one really had me rushed. I did this on thurdays evening just after diner. Here is a breakdown of how I spent my time. 6:20 started 6:21 had base picture & opened it in photoshop 6:35 Finished making skirt from scratch using dodge and burn on a solid colour. 6:38 Finished cleaning mess on hands and arms from skirt I made. 6:45 finished making blue shirt 6:50 finished internet search for "s" symbol 6:55 cut and pasted "s" symbol onto shirt 7:00 added in some details, drop shadows and a couple of wrinkle. 7:15 finished cape 7:17 clean up from cape. 7:18 added my "W" logo 7:19 croped picture and re-sized 7:20 saved optimized for web I was really surprised on what I could do in a single hour. It was fun. Some of you guys might want to try it, it was a good training exercise if nothing else. |

this is the darkest pic i've done so far, and i'm not just referring to the lighting. so she's captured, her would-be killer is waiting but that look in her eye makes me think he's just where she wants him.

Had not done this character yet and thought that this picture would make a good jade. You can find the base in the models submission section. Also it has been used before to make 2 different versions of wonder woman. |

More from the secret police files from the Gotham City Police Dept. Batgirl takes a nosedive. Find out who the culprit is and win a prize from MissVee...at least, I think that's how it works.
The clock starts now; good luck. |

Finished this one up today. Couldn't put it in Marvel or DC because it's both.
There are several discussions out there about a Wonder Woman/Ms. Marvel battle. I honestly don't know which would win. |

We haven?t had a Supergirl in? oh? I?d say about two weeks so I guess we are due. Here is free spirited Kara having fun with her power of flight.
I would like to thank Android for the base image and also for his inspirational versions of Supergirl.
The background for this image, similar to the one used in Angel of Light, was painted in Photoshop.

Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

Here's my take on Catwoman, who's itching to get the night started. I went with the most excellent Charisma Carpenter for the model, I thought she was a great fit. I wrestled with 2 versions, one zipped and one partially unzipped, and in the end, I think the zipped worked out much better.
Anyways, enough talking, enjoy. Comments are welcome.

| Powergirl Issue #7 ???????? Crisis of Infinite Powergirls! R_o_c_i_n_a_t_e 2004/10/5 11:52 6741 9
With this cover I wanted to toy around with different versions of her costumes, so I came up with the ???????infinite crisis???????? concept. This also allowed me to case some different women in the roles.
Front and center is the highly unpopular costume she had after the yellow/white version. I made some changes to the costume, gave her long hair and now I actually kinda like it.
The Supergirl version on the right is totally fictitious, but I couldn????????t help myself. I got sick of all the blonde hair so I made it red/pink so that the hair wouldn????????t be so repetitious.
The one on the left is a big departure. I thought I mix it up by casting an Asian woman as PG. The costume is sort of like her yellow/white JLE one but with some changes to the boots gloves and peephole.

I had this one unfinished for a long time, so i decided that since im stuck with 2 manips, i should better finish this. I wanted to see other costumes for MM, the classic one is kind of bored, and this girl can actually be pretty hot, hope this manip is. For the background i used a very simple tutorial, what do u think? Opinions welcome

| Silver Banshee Android 2007/6/19 17:46 6687 21
Model is (was) Aria Giovani.
Many of you won?t like this Silver Banshee. I know that! Let me explain myself: when I?m trying to make a photo realistic pic, I start wondering what works and what doesn?t in a 3D world.
In the comic books, she appears to use cosmetics in order to alter her face. I don?t believe a supernatural villain would do this! A mummy face is preferable.
Her comic book ?swimming costume? defies gravity. Sorry, I had to preserve her dignity by creating a functional one. It could be understood as a supernatural cloth so it doesn?t need to obey anything but I took the opposite way.
In the background, you ladies and gentlemen can see a pile of old books which is a remembrance of her origin.
Silver Banshee was built as a present to Mr. Bikerbot and I thank all of you who criticized this photomanip during its construction phase.
