It?s Fight Night at the Fortress! Tonight's Special: Super-Sibling Sidekick Showdown We join our main event: The Elimination Chamber* already in progress. (Fight Commentary by Ted (Theodore) Logan (T) and Bill S. Preston, Esq. (B))
B-"As you can see, the first eliminations have been made, Ted." T-"Yes, Bill dude, and it's no surprise to any of us that Wendy and Marvin were the first to go." B-"Agreed, my good man. No one figured them to last as long as they did, though, considering they have no powers what-so-ever." T-"Truly, truly true, Bill. But you have to admit, when Marvin whipped out his patented super crackling vocal attack...there seemed a bit of hope for the dedicated duo." B-"Absolutely, and one can only speculate on how different this contest could have been if their pets had been allowed to participate. I hear that Wonder Dog is one fantastic fighter. And Blip kicks some serious Monkey Butt." T-"Actually Bill, you're thinking of Dynomutt the Dog-Wonder. Wonder-Dog is pretty much useless. And Gleek could take Blip in a heartbeat. But let's get back to the action."
T-"It looks like the Exxorian Twins are preparing their attacks." B-"Yes, indeedy-do, Ted-aroonie. Zan appears to be in position for his ice-cubes from Hell onslaught, while Jana..." T-"You guessed it, Billy-boy, That's her Animal Kung Fu pose, she's in full attack mode. You know, Bill, I know Kung Fu?Just ask Fishburne.? B-"But wait, what's that? Could it be? Are Jan and Jace setting their unsuspecting opponents up for the secret invisibility strike?" T-"But I thought invisibility was ruled illegal in the Fortress, Bill." B-"Awesome deduction as always, Ted, my man. But you forget our special Guest Referee is none other than Space Ghost himself. Looks like we're in for quite a rumble, dudes and dudettes. Don't touch that dial, we'll return for more high impact action after these important messages."
"Friends, do you suffer from embarrassing odors you can't seem to get rid of?... (trailing off)

No animals were hurt in the making of this fight scene. ?No animals were?? is a trademark of MissVee. Please don?t sue me either.
PS...this would look a LOT more like the fortress if the Ice Shader preset I had didn't crash my system, so yeah, it's more like Superman's "Castle of Solitude." PSS?this isn?t funny, I know that. However, it comes close if you actually read Ted?s voice as Keanu.

| No respect, No respect drunkendragon TV and Movies 2009/3/26 18:49 5417 6
I tried to capture the essence of the characters... Ditsi-fying Bubbles with the schoolgirl/cheerleader type outfit, Giving Biff a "Conan O'Brien on speed" attitude, Nasti-fying Shelly with a half-Emo, half-Punk, half-Goth ensemble, and trying to make Clam as realistically true to his character as possible, although I think he turned out more like Popeye I think. The gals be V4, with Shelly being added to by the Shi-na na na, Shi-na na na na na pack by Winterhawk from the HMDC. The guys be M4. And Yep, you guessed it, Jabs himself is none other than Sharkleton courtesy of Ravenous, also available in the HMDC. Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk. Musical props from 3dpmr.com
I normally do credits at this point, but instead, I've decided to play the blame game. I blame - finister! If his Pink Pussycat and Kitten hadn't been so HOT, I wouldn't have kept looking. And I wouldn't have seen the comments. So next, I blame MF. If he hadn't commented on the Josie and the Pussycats resemblance in finister's Kitten, I wouldn't have lapsed into the 70's band cartoon mind set. And lastly, I blame Dar. You all know why.
Seriously though, finister and MF, thanks for the inspiration.
"They call him Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabberjaw The most futuristic shark you ever saw He can walk, and talk, and look, he's even breathing He's so sharp the things he does are unbelieving Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabberjaw He's the latest greatest shark you ever saw, When his friends get in a jam They just call on this big ham He's Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabberjaw, Jabberjaw He's the finniest, funniest, shark you ever saw He's Jabber-Jabbber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabber-Jabberjaw I don't get no respect Jabberjaw!"

Ok, so I have been trying to get inspiration for my next manip, but I'm stuck. So, while waiting I've been searching my old cartoon collection for said inspiration. (Yes, I watch cartoons, you got a problem with that? We can take it outside...)
Anyway, reminiscing over the 90's X-Men, I have been playing around in Daz Studio studying the fascinating areas of light and shadow, posing and props. And I decided to work on this version of the mutant from Xavier's School.

Back in 1973, the Super Friends went on a mission in deep space to clean up a planet and save it from its inhabitants' own short-sightedness. After ridding the planet of its pollution, they left the alien world in peace.* Now decades later, a small squad is sent to check on the progress of this tiny world. Fortunately, the alien race no longer polluted their planet. Unfortunately, their new methods of producing energy left them a tad less stable. Needless to say, they didn't learn nuthin'.

I have been inspired by the AWESOME 3D work here on HM. Thus, I have been trying to learn a little of the Daz/Studio stuff. Also inspired by ReddEra's avatar, I wanted to do an Angela pic... Since I have no clue what I'm doing with the Daz stuff, I'd be grateful for any feedback (+ or -) for my impaired learning processes. (BTW - That's me, as the millennium dragon reaching for Angela's bra strap) ........ I changed some of the lighting, and the background. I think it looks less cartoony than when I posted in the Members Gallery. And touched up several areas in Photoshop Elements. (Thanks for the comments MissVee and co_04 )

Well, time for Barbara to get back to work. To the Library! Ho! (That?s a Thundercats type ?ho?? not necessarily a social commentary on Barbara?s lifestyle?but I digress) And Babs was happy to get out of her clothes, and back into her batsuit. (Yes, another variant suit?I know, but if they can have multiple suits for Keaton, Clooney, Kilmer and Christian?I think the dynamic damsel can have more than one, too?but again, I digress?) I wanted to go with a more serious scene this time, to give BG a more serious tone, and less ditsy, since this has become a serious problem for the girlie gumshoe of late - seriously. So, I apologize for a little less humor?and a little more dramatic atmosphere. (I was also trying to teach myself some lighting techniques, so any tips/critiques would be appreciated)
Hope you brought your library cards, kiddies??cuz I put plenty of stuff in there for ya to ?check out.?- oh, that was lame ? sorry.
Plus, just for kicks, I made the desk marble-topped (Earth) The lightning flash (Fire), and there are bats in the ?brary, as in my belfry (Wind)

| The Nightlife of Barbara: Episode 4 drunkendragon DC Comics 2009/1/22 16:31 3166 3
When we last left our heroine, she had successfully obtained the badge for the security section whilst fending off an onslaught of advances from the ?rear? Admiral?.
As she thrust the badge in the wall access panel in the Science section, a faint ?SHHTT? could be heard. The doors opened and she found herself on the balcony overlooking the costume contest? When suddenly?CLICK!... the spotlights came on?and? WHOOSH!...the curtains flew open?and BLAMMO!...the big screen lit up?
?Oh, No! Not again!? Barbara thought as she dropped to her knees?
Tune in next time as our heroine takes off her Star Trek clothes and takes off for? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN?..(Ominous musical notes) The Library!
Same Babs time Same Babs Channel Don?t forget your Library Card! (Please support your local library, librarians work hard, and people need to read)*
Please ignore the ridiculous attempt at sound effects, as I actually have no idea how to enunciate the sounds of lights, curtains and Big Screens?the door effect, however, is William Shatner from Airplane 2?
Thanks, Mrdockellis, for the link on deviatart.com! Jennifer Korbin also appearing as Babs in the Library. *This series is not sponsored by your local library. |

| Transporter Repaired? drunkendragon TV and Movies 2009/1/17 16:39 4407 5
Ok, so I was just going to update the other one with a new uniform, thanks to Chillyplasma's superb suggestion... but I decided instead to render my vision of how the Mirror Universe's "Bad" Scotty might repair the problem that caused Kirk's split personality in TOS's "The Enemy Within."
With the Captain's Lady split previously, Mr. Scott repairs the foul contraption resulting in the emergence of a Reverse Mirrored..."Slightly Naughty Nurse Chapel."
"Time for your Physical, Captain."
And, I figured another Trek Tribute was in order, with the recent passing of Khan. "If you shake your fist, the other guy will shake his too. But if you extend your hand to shake their hand, then they will extend theirs also, and you've made a friend."--Ricardo Montalban |

| Soul Taker drunkendragon DC Comics 2008/12/31 16:29 5531 11
My niece wants to be a Ninja. I decided to honor her with this tribute to the great Tatsu Yamashiro. (Katana of the Outsiders), and her fabled Muramasa sword (the SoulTaker). The outfit is my version of her current one, but the Sword is modeled after hers from the original B.A.T.O. days. I had help from some friends with the Kanji, which translated is supposed to mean "soul pirate." The 12 spirits were added as a cheezy reference to the movie 13 Ghosts, which my family tried to watch for Xmas, but the DVD was scratched beyond repair, so we never got to see the 13th.

| Power Girl drunkendragon DC Comics 2008/12/20 17:21 6598 11
One more for the League of Justice Babes. I enjoyed working on the Supergirl model so much that I just had to do her again. (Who wouldn't) So, for your enjoyment, here she is-- the fabulous Emily Dean. This time as Power Girl.
The Space background is my experimentation with lens flares and layer blends. The planet I created via Flaming Pear's free Lunar Cell Plugin (not an ad, just credit where credit is due) The Babes in the Bubble are the other LJB members, being escorted of course by GL, Superman in space suit, and Batman (not seen because he's in the Javelin.)

Another Justice Babe...this time Aqua(Wo)Man. And in keeping with the Aquatic babe theme, the model is Olympic Swimmer Stephanie Rice. In addition, since she hails from Australia, the underwater city is modeled after her own Brisbane's cityscape-with Sydney's opera house thrown in for its architectural genius. | The Fastest Woman on Earth drunkendragon DC Comics 2008/12/12 15:39 4320 5
Ok, so I wanted to do something a little different for this member of the League. I picked an appropriate model for the character, not just because of her...um...assets. This is Iveta Lalova, a Bulgarian sprinter, and sincerely one of the 25 fastest women on the planet. I found the pic of her in an awesome pose and created a new background with help from a few brushes I found online (smoke type from taze485 and falln-stock, and flame style from obsidiandawn) The coloring of the smoke and flames took a lot of trail and error to get it to look right. I think it came out pretty interesting.
Let me know what you think.

The model I thought was a perfect fit...Jennifer "Hawkins"...I think a Miss Universe, or America or something. I don't know why Paris...I just liked the wallpaper photo (found at DesktopWallpapers.com) The rest I made myself...came out OK I think. More of the League to Follow. |
