Mostly, however, it took so long because I really wanted to take my time with it and get it right. I know it's not still perfect, but as George Lucas once said, Art is never completed, just abandoned. |

I decided, after staring at the old Wonder Woman figure I'd put together for countless renderings, that the skin just didn't work for her. So, I decided to throw together something new. This image started out being just a test of the new skin to see what it looked like. It turned into this over the course of about 9 hours.
Also, I'd like to point out, that photoshop is my absolute best friend. I got sick of the lights not doing what I wanted them to, or, in this case, only doing PART of what I wanted it to do; i.e. the gleam in her eyes. It wasn't, however, showing much reflectivity on the metal surfaces, nor was it very bright (except the eye gleam, of course). So, I decided to allow photoshop to help me accomplish the rest.
Let me know what you think, please.

| I was playing around with indirect lighting in Poser to see if there was a big enough difference to make it worth using. This is the result. Verdict: NOT WORTH THE WAIT! It took a full 24 hours just to precalculate the indirect lighting, and then another 12 hours to actually render; and it looks NO DIFFERENT than if I'd just used normal lighting. Won't be going through that again. Still, comments are welcome. |

This is based on an idea a friend of mine had. He wrote a script for the comic, hired an artist, and asked me to do the colors. Typical zombie apocalypse story, but the main character was based on his girlfriend at the time. She loves both zombies and comic books and this was meant to be a gift for her. Sadly, she ended it with him before the artist (who backed out of the project shortly before) could even draw the first page. I still liked the concept, though, and I have yet to do a horror style image, so here it is. Comments are encouraged, especially since this is my first foray into horror.
One thing I am aware of is the absence of any shadows created by the figures in the image. This was just because I rendered each detail as a seperate layer and patched them together in photoshop and I couldn't quite get the shadows to work right. I did try to arrange them in a way that keeps you from noticing unless you're looking really closely, though |

I'm updating this image not because I want the art looked at again. This is not a vanity thing. This is to draw attention to the very WEIRD comments posted by rayhadle. WTF is going on?
Finally solved the problem with the headwings. I've been so focused on 3D that I had forgotten all the skills I had learned during my time doing manips. Once I remembered what I was capable of with manips, the head wings seemed like a minor obstacle to overcome. Hope you enjoy. I enjoyed making it. |

However, it took me so damned long and Poser crashed so many freakin' times trying to render this thing that I'm sick of looking at the three of them together.
