This all started in
A-Z game when I noticed there were no pictures of Queen Bee in our gallery. I think the original version of Zazzala, Queen Bee starting in the silver age ('63) looked a bit too dorky and the new updated version is all cyberpunked out. I'm not so crazy about either version so I thought what she needed was to go more retro! So think of this as the Earth-2 Zazzala, an alien Queen with psychic powers that allow her to hypnotize men into becoming her slaves. Very much based on Bill Ward's style.

I couldn't help but notice how little Doom Patrol there was in our gallery, particularly when compared to that other group of super-misfits led by a guy in a wheel chair. So while the Doom Patrol is on it's 6th lineup, I chose the original one: Negative Man, Elasti-Girl, Robotman and "the Chief".

| So DW and B had brought up coloring this recent challenge entry. I had not intended to color it when I drew it and now I know why. Man, it took me forever just to get through the flats! I'm really not too keen on the coloring job I did here but I figured since I ended up putting in so much time on it, I may as well show it. |
