So, here's an example of what I'm getting with using FaceApp to improve characters I originally created in Daz. I used the face map function to take Jen's face from a render that had a good view of her looking forward (by mapping it onto a simple neutral-expression headshot of the actress I originally modeled her face shape after), then use that as a template to map onto the renders I want to improve. I try face map, morph, and light morph, and see which looks best of the three. I then use the hair style options to add a little volume and wave to the hair, as the neural net generated hair looks more realistic than most Daz/Poser hair. As you can see, it can give a much more natural look!

Unfortunately FaceApp is subscription-based, but the price isn't huge. I do wish they had a PC version, though, so I wouldn't have to move files back and forth between my PC and iPad to do it!

More playing with FaceApp, exploring using faces created via morphing characters in Daz Studio with existing photos. Also edited her body a bit in Photoshop.

Cosplayer: Liechee Cosplay

Character I last touched several years ago, and am bringing back out for potential use in an play-by-post forum game of Champions. The original was a Supergirl expy, but I'm thinking about revising her to a "pretty brick", without flight -- more in line with Luke Cage or The Thing, in terms of powers.

Vicky 4, Daz Studio, my own dial turning and deformer work for the character. Hair is Effa hair, top is the V4 courageous tunic with a 3rd-party freebie texture pack I picked up long ago. Gloves are from the Roxana Yaroslavna pack, jeans from the Flower Power set on Renderosity. Rendered in LuxRender with Reality.

Got a sudden impulse to render my World of Warcraft warlock, then put her and her imp into a background from the game. Not perfectly happy with it, but it'll do.

Daz Studio, Victoria 4, "the Light Mage" outfit, Amarseda hair. Composited with imp and background in Photoshop.

A Supergirl expy for a Mutants & Masterminds campaign I'm about to start up in. Appropriately enough, based on one of my previous Supergirl renders, but with the costume recolored, and the render done in LuxRender. Composited with background and color adjusted in Gimp.

V4, pieces from four different outfits, rendered with LuxRender via Reality, after setup in Daz Studio 3.1.  And a lot of work with d-formers to get things to hit together that well.  More details on request.  One "sun" light, and a shadow bowl.

Since several people thought the picture needed to be punched up a bit, here's my attempt at doing so.  Hope you like!

Rendering was done in Luxrender via Reality (as was the previous one - forgot to say), posing in Daz Studio 3.  This time around, I rendered the character and the area she's in separately from the magic effects - both were done in Reality, but doing the effects without anything else but lights in the scene made it possible for them to appear more evenly lit, without any shadows from anything - and also for them not to cast shadows on anything else, since Reality is a physically-based rendered.

The two were merged in Photoshop, and a background added in as well instead of the default "sky" that Reality creates.  I also used Photoshop to add blurring to the magic effects, adjust coloring, and touch up a few bits that I didn't like the "realistic" version of (i.e., adding a glint to her and her dragon's eyes, lightening up the gem on the pommel of her sword, and making the inlay in her sword more blue.

Lastly, I played with it a little in Preview on my Mac, because I like its tools for adjusting exposure, color temperature, and other things.

Hope you guys like it!

Superman's daughter takes her first flight as Dad watches.

This started from me trying to come up with a new costume for Supergirl, and thinking about what kind of costume would actually be practical to carry around all the time and easy to put together.

Thus, a Superman t-shirt, boy-short-style bottoms, red sneakers, a yellow belt to hold the shirt down, gloves, and a pouch on the belt which can also be used to carry the costume (except the shoes).

Yep, it's a Supergirl.  Used:

Victoria 4, with my own "Kay for V4" morph from ShareCG, and VonWinter200's "Rosina for V4" skin.  Surface settings customized.

Terry McG's "Cosplay" Supergirl outfit from ShareCG, combined with Daz's V4 Bodysuit and the belt pouch from Daz's "Courageous" outfit for V4.  Surface settings customized.  Some adjustments done with d-formers.

Hair is OutofTouch's Yoanna Hair, from Renderosity.  Part and hairline adjusted with d-formers, front strands on right side moved back with d-formers.

Rendered in Daz Studio Advanced 3.  Some adjustments of color and retouching of small areas in Photoshop Elements 4.

A sorceress contemplates for a few moments.  Rendered in Daz Studio.  Postwork used to get rid of light artifacts on the candle and bottles and brighten some parts of the image.

Model is Victoria 4; morph used is my own Cady for V4++, available at ShareCG.  Hair is Amarseda Hair, with custom specularity settings.  Dress is the Pharoah dress from Daz, with a free texture from Chohole.  Room is from Danie and Marfoe's "Chronicles" set on Renderosity.  Lighting customized from the lighting that came with the set.

The female half-elven paladin I'm playing in a D&D 4e game right now... character done in DAZ Studio, background taken from a set of free desktop wallpapers, slight postwork to change the tone of the character to be bluer (to match the background) and add a very slight mist effect in front of her.

Was playing around with some new stuff, and the pieces fell together into a superheroine costume.  I decided she should have light-based powers, to break the stereotype of heroines with light powers being blonde.  So... here's LightBurst!
