6 Cool Features of CS6

I do agree with the "Highest Comment" on youTube. Russel sounds like he is telling a fairy tale. It made me laugh.

So, for the few manipers still left on this site. And of course, to those who still use Photoshop. Here is a video of the 6 new features in the CS6 Beta. If you want to, watch the video and tell HM your thoughts.

I watched the video and have to say I am a little disappointed in Adobe. It looks to me like all they did was add video. Which is cool. But everything else they touted as new can be accomplished with Any of the CS releases of Photoshop. Well, not everything... the wide angle filter was pretty cool... but I have NEVER tried to correct a wide angle image, so that doesn't count.

1. The camera raw filter: Well, it turned the image into crap, and if you know how to use the current eposure tool, you can get pretty close. Although, I bet you could use this camera raw filter to remove the foreground from the background... hmmmmmm.....

2. Adaptive Wide Angle:

3. The blur filter... done the effect he was so pumped about, but instead of one click, it takes a few more. Woooo freakin WHOOO.

4. Content Aware move: It is pretty cool, but unless your image looks JUST like the sample, I can almost guarantee that this process sucks. I was pumped when they first released content aware. And even in CS 5.1 that doesn't work on complex images. It is easier to move the object and then use the clone tool to fix the issues.

5. The "New" Crop tool: Again...

6. Video: This is pretty cool... BUT, it is probably just as basic of an editor as you can get. But it does allow people to edit video without having to purchase some of the other editing programs.

And... I don't think I like the new look. I haven't fired up the Beta yet... but when I do, I will get back to you and let you know what I really think.

That is all.....for now.
