I snuck up and watched that one when I was just a kid. And lauched so hard I woke up my sister. When her head spins around? the precision vomiting? 
now that's plain funny. Maybe the fact that I have never, ever believed in God made it impossible for me to take that stuff seriously. But the dead comming back to (un)life? And people eating each other? (in the non porno way.) That kind of worked. But mostly, I like the comedy factor in zombie movies. And not all zombie movies have slow moving zombies. I do agree with the M. Myers/freddy/jason critique though.
And ghost don't do it for me either... what are they gonna do? Yell boo really loud? Leave ecto-plasma on your floor?
As for turning marvel heroes into zombies? why bother? most of those characters are pretty much dead already. Come up with something new, please.
