Wow...after looking through everybody's picks...
There is A LOT of talent posting here on this site!

I was gonna update my post with the categories I left out, but it seems they've been covered. I agree with Winterhawk, if I didn't comment on a category, it's 'cuz nothing I could say would add to what's been said.
So I'm just gonna bump the thread instead.

I hope more peoples give their 2 cents...
Brilliant images listed in this thread. Even if they're not nominating anyone, I hope people at least look at all of these links.

P.S. - I also recommend OCP's entire "World History" series for something...just for the originality and informative exposure nature of the work. Ya just might learn sumthin'.

Oh yeah, and good catch, Hisstoryman! I looked at sooooo many images, and had such a large list, I just knew I was gonna mess one of the dates up. (I'd blame Dar, but I think this is the one and only time in history where it ain't his fault!)
