Yeah, I'm guilty of being one of those people who rarely comment. In my case, the biggest problem is that I absolutely hate to leave superficial comments -- y'know, the Renderosity style "This pic roxx!! U r awesome!!!1!1" comments. But I've also found that people tend to get pissy if you leave a more in-depth comment that discusses either ways to help them improve the picture or techniques they could try next time.
