saw wolverine origins. yawn! the movie filled me with a mixed bag of emotions. i loved the action sequences especially the opening montage of logan and victor slaughtering thier way through the centuries. but the story itself. c'mon. i really hate when hollywood takes an established comic character and throws his history in the blender so they can rebuild him in thier own vision. i really didn't expect them to rehash wolverines complete origin...but i did expect to see more of his covert work prior to the weapon-x project. had they kept his origin more inline with the flashes that were shown to us in the prior x-men movies i think i would have been satisfied. what happened to the savgae mindless beast that emerged from the weapon-x tank, that totally freaked when he first saw his claws and killed damn near everyone in the facility? and just what the hell were cyclops, white queen and all those other teenage mutants doing in the film? if stryker had the power to steal mutant abilities and transfer them to other mutants then why didn't he already have a super mutant on hand when we first met him in x-2?
and trying to make us beleive wolverine could lose his memory from a gunshot to the head? if that was the case then it should have happened when he took one to the dome in x-2 as well. i don't want to go more into detail about this flick because i dont wanna spoil it for thoise who haven't seen it yet. but i'm sure somewhere chris clarmont's stomach is turning.
