Still 'The Dark Knight' raked in over half a billion dollars and became the second highest grossing movie of all time behind 'Titanic'. Surely a good writer can make a lesser known character like Green Lantern or Flash interesting yet still stay true to their roots to go along with the action and special effects the general public expects from superhero movies to make a blockbuster.
