I can pretty much agree there, Billy. The thing is, the diehard fans are tired of Hollywood screwing up continuity, changing costume designs to be more "modern" and revamp after revamp. Sure, I'm glad that they're making the films, but a little more attention to the details of the characters and story line that has been 5,10,50 years in the making would be nice. Of course, the difficulty in this is trying to squeeze all this into a 2 and a half hour film, and sometimes not even that long. They also target audience members that don't follow the characters and only have a knowledge of them.... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The result of the latter is angry fans of the comics when Hollywood gets it wrong, or so horribly wrong that there's a great deal of difficulty for the franchise to recover... example: Ang Lee's "Hulk"...what a mess, but saved by the Incredible Hulk film starring Ed Norton.
