You could enforce a rule that the final .psd file be sent to someone with all the additional channels and paths included in the file. It'll be just like Photoshop 2.0! (In the 2.0 days you were a Photoshop god if you could create a dropshadow using channels!) If you want to get ahead in the competition you'd want an inked piece. So far I couldn't compete in either competition. It takes me 2 months to color a sketch to my satisfaction and gimping me with no layers won't speed me up.
