Whoa, thank you all! It pleases me that you have enjoyed the little episode. I sort of left it to where if I want to expand on it, I can always put an extra page or two between 6 & 7. That way Harley can blow up a second hotel, making the Pleasure Island bombing the third (I get malicious pleasure from the idea of blowing up Vegas) and the subsequent switcheroo at the end a bit more of a surprise.

Also the end hints that this may not entirely be "curtains" for Miss Vee. I am thinking that Wynnings at the very last second saves them both from the blast, with Wynnings mortally wounded. Before dying, he bestows to Miss Vee his entire fortune if she avows restitution for his previous misdeeds. In this way, Miss Vee becomes a new crime-fighter a la Bruce Wayne, only spandexed to the nines with a very plunging V neckline, and pursues the now underground HQ who is bent on an all-out gang war. Hmmm...possibilities? I can read it now as she jumps into her new Bentley convertable, "Quick! To the Vee-hicle!"
