Here are some photos of people in costume at various conventions. Most of it is anime inspired (cosplay), but there is some superhero stuff, mainly at the comic and dragoncon conventions. Some of the costumes are quite good, while others are pretty lame. Regardless, good stuff for material and wrinkle reference
