The thing about superhero comic books is nothing is realistic.
At least the female form is more-or-less possible in real life (with implants).
As I have worked with competing male bodybuilders I often find the portryal of male bodies laughable.
Yes, men can look that muscled and ripped, but it takes months of preparations and they only look their best for a few hours (not to mention the strict dietary requirements usually has them exhausted).
Batman, seems really busy so where does he get all the time to do the necessary exercise?
And don't get me started on the Flash - he should look like a skinny marathon runner, not a bodybuilder!
But, as said already, comic books are drawn to sell more, and who wants to look at a less than ideal specimen when it is just as easy to draw a bombshell?
