the reason they don't make new ones is becuase the success rate of new Characters regardless of race, gender, religion, creed, sexual preference or species is low. Any one remember that Black Avenger Triathlon? if not there is a reason.

They made the new Alan Scott gay because for whatever reason, they couldn't use Obsidian (Alan's gay son from the pre-reboot continuity). I don't really see why it should be controversial. For one thing, it's not the mainstream continuity. For another thing, the pre-reboot Alan Scott had been killed off, and had been a confirmed bachelor for decades, so it's not like he had a long track record of heterosexuality to begin with...

An incident with a psionic whose power affect the brain matter, her brain experienced growths in various fields, including memory, reasoning and the senses. On top of that her overall ability to consciously apply her brain rose from at least 10% to a relative 30%. Her role on the team is tactician and Wireless guidance. Currently her muscle mass weighs 157 pounds. The brain enlargements pressed against a growth gland that made her resume growing. After a brain surgery removed the pressure against the gland, she had plastic surgery to make her face more proportionate to her original size. With some choice improvements, of course.
Her current powers are as follows: 1) Heightened receptiveness to her senses, and raised ability to distinguish them from each other, 2) Savant-level memory, idemic and photographic, it is a struggle for her to forget anything, 3) insight to guide her through maverick and adaptable complex stunts, formulated in less than a second.

If you want to see a 5 sec animation, based on the first page of the latest comics, it is aviable at YouTube: You're a disgrace to the Legion Academy! Voice is generated with "Savoy Text to speech" software.

If you want to see all charaters in idle position (breading mostly) and a litle extra information of some of the characters, a simple software is aviable at The game? - torrent at PirateBay.org

Alpha version contains "Idle" animation of all figures shown (except Wildfire). Blok and Phantom Girl contain 2 more animations. When in menu they start and stop automatic (approx 20 sec. interval).

Installer is 394 Mb and a uninstaller is provided. Installed on disk it is 458 Mb.

You need a screen resolution of 1024x768 or better.

Tested on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Thanks Chief... hmmm, I rather like the idea of a Tales of the Crypt type compilation. I do have an idea for at least one more story currently (although it has a bit of a slight supernatural bend). I just dread the work! This last one took nearly 2 months at around 8 hours a day! Gotta learn to work faster! Still, obviously this won't be my last comic.

As I understand it a lot of the European countries subsidize a large portion of their social programs through their gas tax.

One of the things to keep in mind about the cost of comics is that it's overall market has shrunk, so the per unit production costs have increased as a result. One more nail in the comic coffin.

Come on now... if someone disagrees with you then you should just punch them in the throat and walk off. Today I wore my Iron Man Underoos, a Powder Puff t-shirt, and my Spawn baseball cap... and no one said anything to me... mainly because I left a line of bodies behind me.

I can possibly see butting heads over political views... but come on, not watching a movie because that super liberal goof ball Sean Penn is in it is insane... did you see "Mystic River"? I hate his views, but man, he can act (sometimes... go Fast Times!!!) But at the end of the day, you are your own person and you shouldn't give a flip about what other people think about what you wear, your political beliefs, your theological beliefs, your musical likes and dislikes.... etc. Effe them if they don't like it. Besides, Spidey and Superman are great... even though DC sucks (besides Harley).

Oh, and I can't effen believe that you put DC over Marvel... what the hell is wrong with you!!!

First of all i don't like batman (Bruce) being dead...

but he is not "dead" he's just in the prehistory painting caves (which isn't that cool either)
What i think sucks the most, is how he died, plus there were 2 separate stories of him dying (i haven't read RIP, but In FC it was terrible, specially since he used a gun)

What i think is OK, is having a story where Nightwing finally gets to wear the cowl, and Bruce Jr is Robin. It won't last long (unless fans like it, which clearly isn't the case)

Maybe during this time we get some good plots, and it should be interesting to see how Dick handles the cowl, and the leadership of the bat family and the JLA; or to see how much he's gonna change into someone darker...

Also im anxious to see what will happen with batgirl, and barbara gordon

Elephantmen slips to fourth spot, as the arcs after "War Toys" have been disjointed. Though I still highly recommend War Toys -- it's out in trade now.

I have to agree with PeterCotton. Redhead rock and screwing with continuity just cause without a really good reason and explanation is just FU. I stopped reading back in the late 80s when something would happen and things would start being explained... then just wait! The next summer event to end all events would take place. Nothing was finished and it was just a mess.

There are times when things get old and it is time to re-imagine things. DC did ok with Infinite Crisis. Marvel looked like the Ultimate series was going to be a good way to reboot, but they blew that like a $5 hooker. Same with House of M. They have really good ways of ending things and restarting fresh, but they will not follow thru.

The Skrull event is the next malfunction that is going to reshape the Marvel universe and will fall flat like an erection in front of Hillary Clinton.

PART EIGHT

- Yanked out of the time-space continuum by the aliens who granted him his powers, Buddy Baker's powers are reset, particularly his ability to tap in the Red, the web of energy connecting all life. Placed back into the continuum, he desperately reaches out to find a life-form that can enable him to survive in the vacuum of space... and finds the Sun Eaters. He adapts their abilities, which include migration mapping and homing abilities...

- At the Rock of Eternity, Osiris begs Captain Marvel to take away his powers, still believing that they are causing the misery in Kahndaq, while his "pet" Sobek complains of hunger. Before Marvel can do anything, Black Adam and Isis show up. Osiris blames Black Adam for his supposed "curse" and a fight ensues, despite the Marvels' attempts to break it up. Osiris accidentally strikes Isis, which shocks him enough to make him stop. Isis convinces Osiris to return and help her and Adam find out what's causing the problems in their kingdom.

- Elsewhere in space, another Lady Styx is reborn...

- Back in Kahndaq, Osiris is still convinced that his powers are evil. Sobek suggests that Osiris simply change back into his human form, which Osiris does, and thus transforms himself back into crippled Amon Tomaz. But then Sobek suddenly eats him. Turns out the lovable talking crocodile is in fact Yurrd the Unknown, a sleeper agent created by Dr. Sivana. The Four Horsemen have arrived in Kahndaq. Black Adam kills Sobek/Famine, but he and Isis then find themselves battling War, Pestilence, and Death. War barrages Adam with missles and bullets, but is no match for him. Pestilence infects Isis with diseases, leaving her to Death. Adam blasts Pestilence's head off with one of War's cannons, distracting Death lon...

Cap dying is almost a tradition at Marvel. I wonder if the news outlets that covered this stunt were aware of this:

Captain America vol. 1 #443 Sep. '95 - Cap dies after his super-soldier serum gets corrupted. There is a whole issue without him, and issue #445 begins with his funeral (Bill Clinton is a pallbearer!). Two pages later - he's alive again.

Captain America vol. 1 #454 Aug. '96 - The long-running title is cancelled. Cap dies in battle with Onslaught, along with most of the Marvel Universe. He returns in Captain America vol. 3 #1 Jan. '98. (This is a "COLLECTOR'S ITEM 1st ISSUE" that today sells for less than cover price.)

Captain America vol. 3 #50 Feb. '02 - Cap is killed by a bomb, has a funeral, book gets cancelled. He returns in Captain America: Dead Man Running #1 Mar. '02. Captain America vol. 4 #1 Jun. '02 follows the mini-series.

Captain America vol. 4 #32 Dec. '04 - It's the final issue and Cap is dead on the cover. Inside he survives, but the book is still cancelled. Captain America vol. 5 #1 Jan. '05 appears the very next month. At this point, Marvel is just going through the motions.

Captain America vol. 5 #25 Apr. '07 - Cap is shot and killed. What is newsworthy here? The only surprising thing is that the next issue is not another #1 relaunch. In Civil War: The Initiative #1, also Apr. '07, it is revealed that Cap is still alive.

True enough, but it's still not a "comic book weapon" when the source material for it is a movie and not a comic book.

It's a movie weapon that's been used in a comic book, not a comic book weapon itself.

Same goes for the Punisher's guns. They're not comic book weapons, they're real life weapons depicted in a comic book.

Of course I wasn't implying that a lightsaber has never been used in comics, that would be stupid. They've been used in video games as well, but that doesn't make them "video game weapons" either. Now the BFG from Doom? Video game weapon all the way.

The thing that cracks me up about all these sidekicks from nowhere is that the supposed marching orders at DC is "No redundant characters". I have a feeling that most of these characters are random pop-ups from the IC aftermath.

Ask Dr. Expert has a humorous take on this.

The only thing that I don't get is that if random people are popping up throughout the DCU from the various pre-crisis earths then why hasn't any new arrivals from Earth 2 asked about Police Commissioner Bruce Wayne and his time as the Batman.

I haven't seen this graphic novel you are all talking about, however i did take the time to read the 3 books that came out , oh a year or so ago. I did find them entertaining and i'm hoping to see if this mysterious movie they keep teasing us with, will follow the books, i found by reading the books i had a better understanding of the game .

Yeah I know...maintaining a site is new to me. I just thought it would be better if i could fit each entire image on the screen without neccessarily reducing them in size.[i always lose resolution when i do]. but i thank you for your feedback. Now submit sumthin already!!!

From what I remember, WW died once already.

Superman apparently has died more times that Jean Grey can count. At least that's what the old folks keep tellin me when I start talkin about Doomsday kickin booty.

I was never into DC that much. It was rare that I found a story that would interest me from them. What I CAN give them credit for is that every time they brought up a new character, they always seemed fresh and new.

Marvel's characters didn't seem fresh and new, but the stories locked me down for hours of reading.

Image, everything was new about them when I read them.
