No, it is not after the band! My mind tends to wonder to darker, more morbid thoughts. But I didn't want to call myself Death, or anything like that. I do have a mild interest in Greek mythology, and liked the idea of going by Charon, the ferryman, but decided to use Styx instead. It is the most commonly named river when desribing Hades, it is also associated with darker morbid thoughts, and it does roll off the tongue beter than Charon does. I also use this handle on other sites.

Oops! Accidentally started a new thread the first time, instead of adding to this one. Oh well, "If you can't laugh at yourself then you might as well be dead." - me

My nickname was also a password I used whenever on the net. I would create passwords by joining two words together that I figured never were used together before. and sounded cool.
Waay before the movie, I got the "matrix" from a sci-fi novel called shadowrun. In the book, the internet has become a virtual reality, where people jacked in by attaching a cable directly to their temples. This virtual plane of existance was often referred to as the matrix.
The "blur" was simply to represent the wonderful filters in Photoshop.
After a while, I thought "matrixblur" would make a good superhero, and added him to the list of original characters I've created, and gave him physical form. Since then, I've grown accustomed to using him as my avatar whenever I'm "jacked in".

Vlad Vizz, the Wizard, of the Wizard's Lair bestowed it upon me to protect my secret identity, about 3 years ago. I am found at Wizard's Lair, Scarlet's Sanctum, Ivy's SHID, the BatGirl BatTrap, and stolen throughout the internet w/o attribution...

I think my roomate was watching dragonball z when I registered. Pretty lame story, huh? I'd like to change it, but I don't seem to be able to.
But what I want to know is, when do we get to see what the 'original' Winterhawk looks like?

Hey, everyone.
I was just wondering how everyone came up with his or her usernames. (And what they mean, if anything)

Before Heromorph, I was very inconsistent with my usernames, using different ones at different sites. This lead to problems because I would forget what my username was at a particular site, when I wanted to go back. So when I came to heromorph, I knew I would return so I wanted to think of something I would never forget and that was Superhero related. After going threw the names of my favourite characters from the comic books I decided to take the name of an original character That I made long, long ago. Winterhawk was the central character in many pictures and stories I did through out my teen and young adult years.

How about the rest of you guys?

I'll give it a whack, if I can finish this Electro Manip soon.

"Villians, I say to you, knock off all that evil!"

Oh, and as a little inspiration, I thought you guys might get a kick out of this:
Sewer Urchin costume

OK, so Winterhawk suggested someone post this, and i don't know if i'm actually allowed to officially issue a challenge, but here goes:

Of course you do, I do it all the time.
You just have to pretend that you have authority.
No one ever said I could do it. I just noticed no one else was doing it so I started.

And BTW: Challenge Accepted. "Spoooon"

The challenge for May is a manip of any character featured in The Tick. this includes the comic, the cartoon series, or the short-lived live-action series.

that is all...

I finally finished my original character (lynx) and was about to submit it when I saw that the site was down (bandwith). So here it is, a day too late. A google pardons, for my slow work rate.

Don't worry missvee, you wont be alone. I have something equally juvenile planned for this one.
