DC should have come here for their new BatWoman design. Heromorph's own massively talented Pat2004, already made a concept kicks their second rate Batman Beyond rip-off's ass.  I would have checked out a book with his design in it.

Marvel has gone to Hell! I've cut back
Bendis should have stuck with Powers (one of my favorite comic books) and never put his hand in the rest of the Marvel cookie jar.
Avengers Disassembled was crap! Civil War is crap! They've ripped off DC and made Peter the Ralph Dibny character.
The Peter Parker I remember is not so f*(&%in' stupid as to reveal his secret identity.
Sadly, DC has been pulling some crap lately as well. Identity Crisis was a little hard to follow. Even for me and I've been collecting comics since 1978.
Although the new Batwoman situation seems kind of cool. Kathy Kane's daughter, that's a great tip of the hat!

Hey, hey, HEY! ...hey!...hey!...hey!...stop it!  While Marvel is a shadow of it's former self, nobody chooses DC over Marvel right now unless they are blind and can't read. In which case their only need for comics is as toilet paper. And then DC will do just fine. Hmmm...actually...when I thinik about it... you have a point. Sort of. Let's just agree that they both suck. They should fire all the writers and hire us heromorphers to do the comicbooks. It couldn't get worse, could it? Well, apart from the addition of roswell porn...

I'm way more of a Marvel Fanboy than DC. Infinte 'whatever' completely lost me. I have been reading Civil War, and so far it's been ok. I have to admit, I'm never a fan of the "Event" comics... they never end well. However, Ultimates 2 Is absolultely great right now! 2 more issues to go. Just a shame that Millar & Hitch are leaving the book, I'm not really a Jeff Loeb fan.

I gave New Avengers a shot. It was ok for a while, but when I realized that the story was lost and I was just buying it for Spider Woman... It wasn't worth it. When Peter moved everyone into Stark's place, it destroyed part of the everyman quality Peter Parker had. He was the 'faithful ward' to Iron Man. How lame is that. Then they anally raped him in House of M. As if that was supposed to karmically balance stuff out?? They've lost touch with the readers. I predict that to make Spider-Man more 'fresh and hip' they'll end up killing or mortally wounding Mary Jane or Aunt May and it will be the rallying point for the heroes. I used to manage a comic book shop in LaCrosse, WI. I still talk with the owners and buy my comics through them. One of the owners told me that the readers they lost on the Avengers fiasco was pretty significant. The swing in their market was going more to DC, Image and the Independants. I'll agree that Identity Crisis was a bit inaccessible. I spent time going over Pre and Post Crisis continuity with people to explain what was going on. 52, which sprang from Identity Crisis is really good and pretty easy to follow.

I never read House of M, though from the covers it looks like they're pretty rough on ol' Spidey. I have been reading a lot about how the folks at Marvel would like to have Spidey not be married, so I wouldn't be surprised. Spidey probably won't be living in Stark Tower much longer. I just picked up Civil War #3 and on the last page Iron Man is beating Captain America to death. That's the cliff hanger. Then they have an image of next issue's cover: Spidey vs. Iron Man. I'm guessing that Spidey will recover some of that power/responsibility attitude and step in to stop Tony before it's too late, telling him he's gone too far. Then he'll switch sides in the war and get kicked out of the Avengers and Stark Tower. He'll have to give the new suit back and MJ and Aunt May will be without body guards and will be attacked and if not killed, seriously injured.
And since this is the Batwoman thread...I wish they'd come here for that dark costume shown below. The one she's in is too bright for a "dark knight" character.

I just saw the costume in 52 Week 9. Too bright? Do you mean that the cape should be black in stead of dark red?
The costume I saw had red boots, gloves, insignia and cape. All of the rest was black.

Ok, you're right. It's really not as bright as I thought it was at first. It's not as bright as the black and yellow that Barbara wore. I'll wait til I've read a bit more to pass judgement on it. Maybe it's just the retro look that bugs me...I really like the dark outfit(black/blue with yellow trim) that Pat2004 did. I'd like to see more of that. Maybe one with the hood down. Does that mask have Bat ears?
