Just saw the Superman movie. If Bryan Singer is such a fan of Superman why did he make this pile of @#$%? Superman comes off as a stalker, Lois Lane is a whiner, Lex is ok, but has the same old scheme, and what can I say about the kid.

The comics didn't have Lois and Superman get married until they were married on the T.V. show Lois and Clark. Are they planning on Lois and Superman having a kid in the comics now? Is that why they put it in the movie?

I don't expect everything to be exact in comic book movies. I know they have to make some changes and I accept that, but this movie had too many changes and some bad casting. I give this movie

I saw Pirate, The Special Effects were great, but when I left the theater, from Pirates, I felt it wasn't as good as the first one. IMHO I liked Superman more, i have seen it twice now.

I agree Hawk I liked Superman better. one thing I liked about Superman was the fact that the Dialog and over all theme went with the original movies.

Ok this is what I meant for Superman Returns... I wasnt saying it was good

Comic movies from worst to best in my opinion from spiderman 1 and down they are pretty much switchable based on based on what i would rather be watchin

Catwoman
Superman returns
Hulk
Fantastic Four
Electra
Batman chris odonell
Superman Chris Reeves
Spiderman 1
Batman 1 and 2
Daredevil
Punisher
X men 1
X 2
Batman Begins
X 3 for plot not for character mess ups
Spiderman 2 and hopefully 3

I got around to seeing Superman Returns yesterday (sandwiched in between little kids).

I really liked it.
It is one of those movies that is meant to be a sequel AND a remake. Like Terminator 2 to Terminator, or Desperado to Mariachi.
I think Lois Lane was miscast, Routh would look better with a few years and someone cut the kids hair!

Other than that is was great - I loved all the little in-jokes, like the Superman Lives headline.

Is it good? Is it a blockbuster? no...it's SUPER-LAME!
They should have mercy-killed this pointless dravel in pre-production. Shove some kryptonite up it's ass. Just my opinion.

I thought the movie kicked a$$!
It was pretty true to the original films (1 & 2). The wry smile that Routh give is just like Reeves.

***SPOILER***
I think that being a parent will give you a different perspective to the film. Although, taking the kid on the yacht was stupid and no parent could be that dumb.
(I say that because they established that she was mindful of what he ate and if he took his meds. The fact that she'd take her boy to a place where a major EMP crippled part of the US is very hard to believe.)
/***SPOILER***

Captain- You'd honestly rate Batman 2 higher than Spider-Man 1??? When's the last time you saw Batman Returns? Christopher Walken is cool, but not that cool.

**Boring spoilers ahead!**

I was really dissapointed. The movie had one good scene and that was it.

Here's how the movie goes:

A lot of nothing, just people standing around talking.

A great scene! He caught a plane!

Pining.

A pretty good scene! He flew around and caught some stuff.

Pining.

An okay scene. He lifted something heavy.

Pining.

He lays around in a hospital bed.

Pining.

The end.

He was supposed to Fly and Lift things for a full 2 hours?? That would be a very boring film and more that $200 million to make.

well due to the box office reciepts that this film is doing it isn't that likely to get another sequel for this film. But I would like to see a different villian then Lex Luthor if they ever do make a sequel. Not saying Lex couldn't be in it but maybe have Mongul or even darkside in the film. That would be pretty cool. The thought of seeing a battle between 2 of the universes most powerful characters would be awesome.

Ok, just cuz I read a comment before I decided to say anything.

I've seen 2 different Superman tv shows that bombed...... before they came up with Dean Cain. I seriously doubt they'll let the Superman movies die.

Now, the reason I'm commenting about this.... As you might have put 2 and 4 together and got 12..... Yeah, I just bought the movie. That was some serious dodging. And it's not a bad movie at all.

Lets just hope that the sequels to this are better than the sequels to the first round of movies. So, instead of Richard Pryor they will cast Chris Rock... or Shappel (sp). BLA!

I will most likely buy this superman though... I did like it in the theaters.
