A guy is posting this pic trying to pass it off as real. I?m not that great of a Photoshopper, but in my heart I know this pic is altered. If it was just the S in the clouds I would accept it, but not the shield background and the way it jumps out. Not to mention in some areas the straight lines. Cloud formations are very interesting and unpredictable. They can take the form of virtually anything the mind perceives. I have taken many photographs of clouds resembling strange creatures. I even took one that looks like the hand of God reaching down from the sky. Photoshop was used in many of my pics to increase contrast and colour correct, but that doesn't make them fake. Virtually all photos are enhanced before being published or distributed. I can't tell if the image you are referring to is a fake, but occasionally Mother Nature does use her talent to create some amazing results.

Don?t get me wrong I know that clouds can do really cool things, but what they do not do is make definite designs. Now if this pic was somewhat the S I would believe it, but it is the exact S and even has the shield backing. If the wind were blowing to create the S swirl the there would be no perfect straight lines on the shield.

To do a detailed analysis to determine if manipulation was done, you would need a pretty high resolution copy of the original image.
My guess is that there was maybe an "S-like" pattern there in the sky to start out, but some aspects of it are too sharp, especially the area to the immediate left of the first curve in the "S". Nowhere else in the entire image do you see such a perfect straight line.
But it is a cool image.

You don't need to look at clouds to see that. BTW the best way to show it is a fake is to duplicate it. Probably would take you five min with the clone tool and the healing brush.

Okay, I dont know where ur getting the gl insignia from on the 2nd cloud, but I see texas. As for the 1st, tho I agree it's highly unlikely to see that and have a camara handy, but, according to the law of probabilities it has to happen sometime. Altho the first curve of the S looks like its been helped.
