To be fair, there are several items there that are clearly inspired by Marvel or DC trademarked material and are close enough to copies so as to be pushing the envelope on trademark infringement.

But there's a huge difference between being inspired by material and making your own stuff like ionisys does, and USING copyrighted material to make said product. Something I'm sure he does not, especially after seeing the work on his multisuit from day 1 or so as a WIP.

And at the same time, there's plenty of stuff on DAZ's site clearly modelled after the LOTR movie gear, yet THAT seems ok. Either take issue with all "homage" material, or none.

Or maybe they don't want to potentially mess with the Mouse.

I find it interesting that when this thread originally can up Targetview was taking heat over in the daz3d forums for making products that were extremely close to existing intellectual subject matter with some just flat out based on existing stuff.
That's perfectly fine and it seems that have altered their products in accordance.
How ever now Daz3d has come out with a new bundled set of products
found here http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/new-releases/assassin-angel-bundle?item=10167&cat=421&_m=d
Now the character is an non-other then Angelina here called angel. the outfit skin textures and morphs are clearly from the character she played in Wanted.
they even have a bunch of members discussing about using the product commercially in this thread and not to do so because they could get sued for using Angelina's likeness (here is the forum thread: http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=130195)
What about Daz and the Vendors using her likeness commercially.
That said I think it looks like a great set and picked it up myself.
I just think it is funny that the little guy gets pissed on while the big guys get to do what they want.
Don't get me wrong Daz is a really good company and has lots and lots of good quality products, it just strikes me as odd and when I saw it I thought about this thread right away.

I dunno Star, I only ever read the thread here and I just noticed that the original post was edited away from the O.P. so my post makes a little less sense.
