I have just organized a set of folders of all my DAZ content, How do I get DAZ to recognize this new set of folders when it is running? What setting would I need to use?

Umm the setting of Poser

Seriously, as far as I know, you need to restart it to recognize new folders after doing the search for new content thing on start up in DS 2 and less. if you are in DS 3. my DS3a just seems to find stuff automatically.

Edit->pr?ferences->directories
select what type of folder you have DAZ/Poser/Other
then add select the path to said folder

Yes this will allow Daz Studio to recognize and display the contents of your folders but it's not going to help when it comes to loading items into scenes. At least as far as finding the proper textures is concerned. If you create your own personal folders you still may have to do a manual search for texture files because Daz will only follow the designed path of the cr2 and pp2 files when it comes to applying textures. In some cases it may load properly but you may have to find one or two files yourself. You can correct this by re-writing the cr2 files to directly point to your renamed folders but that would probally involve more work than you are prepared to do. The good thing however is that once you have loaded and saved a scene it will re=open without these problems as long as you keep your folders and files the same.

I have around 20 folders and nearly never have this kind of problems,most of the product I use are for poser,I use the folder structure"Name of the Folder" with a runtime inside,and DAZ2,3 or 3 64 bits never have any problems here
the DAZ Folder need to have the Poser version insstalled somewhere to use the DAZ MAT and are usually named "Name of the Folder DAZ"(with an extra folder inside with the same name,and it is in that folder that I put the Content),some product need to be loaded in different way like, importing them in DAZ studio instead of opening them through the library....
