So Avengers what'd everyone think?

I thought CGI Hulk was awesome, god that would be a dream job doing stuff like that. Anyway lots of great lines by all the characters too. What did you guys think? I figured there'd already be a topic on this but I didn't look real hard ;)

I think it was GREAT, the balance between the characters is perfect (not like in the first x-men movie, in wich wolverine was the main character)...and I think the hulk was awesome and pretty funny in some sequences, I already saw it 2 times in 3D and I can do it a couple more...I can't wait for the bluray, and of course for the avengers 2.

Freakin Awesome. Missed the End credit spot, but got the Mid Credit spot. Going to watch it again. I am not posting any favorite lines because I don't want to present any Spoilers

I only saw the next movie Villain... but I read they added another bonus sequence at the very end of the credits...guess I have to wait to the bluray or youtube

It's ruling the Box office still, just brought in another 100+ million, as such knocked Avatar out of the lead for highest grossing on second week. A friend of mine said she was in the theatre as the credits rolled from the last showing and did not see it either. Maybe the second shot is only on a handful or will be saved for the DVD/BluRay release?

I'd have to agree with everything DK said. I saw it in 3D as well. And even saw both scenes after the credits. And the thing that's messing with me is that I HATED the Avengers comicbooks.

LOL I never got into em either Thayne, I did go through a period were I read West Coast Avengers. Never a big Thor fan either, and the Tony Stark I remember was in a wheelchair /shrug.

Damnit... now I am going to HAVE to go see this. (Like I would miss it). But yeah, I never read ANY of the comics that involved any of these characters.

Iron Man: Abusive Alcoholic. Boring

Captain America: I just never got him

The Hulk: I watched him on TV... why would I read his comics?

Thor: He is a god... he shouldn't have ANY weaknesses... yet he did. Boring

Black Widow and Hawkeye: Practice... Practice...Practice and you too can be as good as these characters.

I just thought that they all were stupid characters. With that said, I have yet to be disappointed by any of the individual movies leading up to this (I even enjoyed Ed Norton's Hulk Movie. I didn't think it was Oscar worthy, but it was a WHOLE lot better than that piece of dripple that preceded it) So, I am pumped to go see it.


I liked the Xmen and Silver Surfer. Those dudes were bad ass... but funny enough, I did not enjoy their movies like I did the individual Avenger movies.

I have to say that I liked Scarlett's hair in the Ironman movies better. Her hair, in the previews, looks more like a wig than it did in Ironman.

Jeez... for not seeing this movie, I sure wrote wayyy too much.

Damn JR I agreed with everything you just said LOL, but I did delve into Hulk comics though thought it was cool the way the Army always seemed after him but he'd get into other stuff. The TV show was more about the tortured Dr., but to me the Hulk was 9 ft. tall not average man size and left nothing but destruction in his wake.

well i waited 4 years for this movie and i'll say i wasn't disappointed in the least. i thought the characters interacted well with each other and appeared very super indeed but not invincible. i particularily liked who i thought would actually be the weakest link in the movie..the Black Widow...her opening scene with the russian maffia was classic. i didnt particularily care for the new cg version of the hulk [i thought they would use the same model from 'incredible' whi ch i thought looked more menacing and hulkish] but this one passed..although why most of his stances and movments were apelike i dunno..but his scene with loki will forever stay in my mind as the best one in the whole movie. i only saw the first end scene and my heart jumped when i saw who the next baddie up to bat would be. so im really looking forward to the next one. go see it..that's an order!

well the fact is the only natural animal they could cg into the hulk was the ape that being said i quite enjoyed the movie
cap man out of time imagine waking up and finding out the world u knew was gone

thor as per the myth he wasnt to be immortal so that sticks

hulk apelike mass of rage and anger issues
makes perfect sense

black widow former KGB spy and assassin yep shes a keeper

hawkeye techniclly learned his skills under the trickster when he was in the circus and that accuracy is almost like radar lol

to bad they didnt add ant man or wasp to round the team out

I loved it! It dragged in the middle due to all the exposition but the battles were superb, the CGI was top notch and the characters were well-balanced and written. Plus they FINALLY got the Hulk's character right! (Now if only they could make a Hulk movie like that!)

Dang! Looks like everybody loved it! Me too! Although my expectations were considerably lower than most, I was most pleasantly surprised. The script was sharp, the characters true to their comic book personalities. Great interaction of characters, plenty of humor, drama and action. It's got pacing like a freight train, epic scale and if I were trying to describe the FX to someone, they'd never believe the seamless realism achieved. May have to see it again myself.
My choices for Avengers I want to see added next time: Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Android Vision.

Those would be cool choices to add they'd have to do a witch/vision movie beforehand surely so much backstory and all with those two ;)
