i missed this and i am a sadded little cottonman. T_T

i know, i finally got to see it. and it was cool, but it was also a musical, so my feelings on it were mixed. on one hand, it managed to create a real living superhero world (my god, Bad Horse was Brilliant) and it told its story about following your heard versus your material gains well.

but on the other hand, the story itself is not new, the characters could use some more polish, and all in all, the whole thing needs some tightening up.

but all in all, i liked it. and the music was alright. i didnt fast forward through too much of it, which is wut i normally do for musicals.

The story was indeed 'new' (if you discard the fact there haven't been any truly new stories in a couple of thousand years), Dr Horrible's blog was novel, but the real originality was in the ending: Penny died, and she died with the name of the jerk on her lips.
The characters were more polished and the story tighter than a lot of stuff that is on TV, remember this was made for nothing. They couldn't make it a TV show though, then it wouldn't be a blog!

I really hope people are buying the show, the people involved deserve to get paid for making such good entertainment. I myself am in 2 minds over buying the DVD (when it comes out), as I found Penny's death so unexpected given the tone of the show.
