I've adjusted most of these on the PC after photographing them with my phone, as the texture of the paper I've been using has proven an impediment to a decent scan. |

I am into my last month of creative work on my upcoming big, beautiful BANZAI GIRL Volume 2 graphic novel that I hope to Kickstarter before Halloween -- and that's when I decided I wanted a brand-new cover (and have someone fully paint it!).
So studying what I've done so far, I decided to take a pose I drew once before, one my fans and I like very much, and create a new league of Filipino monsters around it -- more applicable, actually, than the generic fanged creatures I used the first time.
Here's my finished line art. This is all pencils, guys -- and it's finessed by my brother Pejee in Photoshop to look inked!
Let me know what you think!
And does anyone wanna take a crack at coloring or painting it?

The concept was to create a graphic for a virtual wall on the Graphic Mouse site...
I did a "Dave" piece (left with Graffiti Mouse character) and my mate Danno (AKA Guttenburg on GM) sketched the "Mouse" piece (right) for me to add the colour effects on his behalf.
This is a screen capture I grabbed of the wall when it was originally assembled on the site. I don't know that there were too many more additions to it in the end... (?) |

Out of the many bizarre things to come out of last November's election came KellyAnne Conway's red, white, and blue inaugural outfit. It seemed to me that, on a far prettier girl half her age, the gloves/hat/buttons number would've been adorable rather than strange. So I went back in time and took that outfit's design and imagined what BANZAI GIRL would've looked like wearing it. I tailored the design so that it would fit properly, then trimmed the hemline to regulation Heromorph length, and I think now it works! What do you think?

Dog and recently gave birth to daughter Sunny who will turn out to be the embodiment of evil. I took the most liberties with her original design in order to make her look more attractive. Well, on the outside at least. |

I set out to create a fun ARCHIE cover that not only showcased the current way Archie is being drawn in the Mark Waid-written ARCHIE series, I also want to nod at the classic style. So my best idea was to put Archie, Betty, Veronica, Reggie, Jughead, and even Hot Dog up on stage, and a member of the audience is taking their photo with an iPad. But the iPad captures them as they looked at the time of the first album for THE ARCHIES (performed by Ron Dante, and produced by Don Kirshner, who produced the earliest songs of The Monkees).
This is my concept art, finessed by Larry Tuazon, scanned and cleaned up by my brother Pejee, and colored by Katrina Ma Hao. The drop-in of The Archies classic image is, of course, from Dan DeCarlo.
I hope you like this final version. I am happy I got the chance to show you my process from original pencil to finish!

The second of my set of pin-ups based on the comic strip 'My Cage', Ashley T. Bengal is the Gothic 'work wife' of main character Norm T. Platypus. Despite her constant practical jokes on him, Norm is still secretly attracted to her even though he's now married to Bridget T. Dog. Oh, and since the series is now a web comic, Ashley recently came out as bisexual.  |

| My version of comic strip cutie Luann based on a recent strip where she had to draw 17 self-potraits for her college art class. This was my favorite version where she was depicted in a slightly more realistic style, though some fans said it looked more "Disney Princess"-like to them. |
