lol....yeah yeah yeah, we're most famous for our mounds and (supposed) inbreeding. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to take pride in the state of my birth or not! :D

But when it comes to west virginia stereotypes, I can claim a few.

When I was a baby my parents actually lived in a cabin in the mountains for a few months.

I used to live in a town so small it couldn't be found on a map. less than 2k people live there, all spread out over an area the size of NYC.

I can play part of Dueling Banjos on my guitar.

I actually like the sound a banjo makes.

When I was growing up there was always at least one unworking vehicle parked on my lawn.

I say "taters".

My extended family numbers in the hundreds. Seriously. That's just counting aunts, uncles, and first cousins.



QuantumFX - you mean John Denver? *L* "Country Roads" is like my state's theme song, and our unnofficial motto (Almost Heaven) came from that song.
