The "X" should close the pop-up (I dunno if we can call it that... It's more of a... Slide-in.  ), We tried it on several browser with no problem. Other than appear again on page reload (Like if you keep reloading a page to rise pageviews for example) or moving to another page.

The Slide-In appear when scrolling down the page at some percentage from the top... Meaning that a shorter page, the slide will appear sooner and a bigger page it will take more scrolling until it appear.
