Ok I'll give you an example.
The guy who's playing the Thing said in an interview that he loved the Thing as a kid, and told EVERYONE that if they ever made a FF movie he was going to play the Thing.
He's playin him, He's an actor whose apparently read the comics. And I still don't like him. But that's because the makeup peoples suck @$$.
Ben Affleck on the dvd said he loved Daredevil as a kid, so he's all desperate to get it right. And he can't fight worth a damn in that movie.
So actors having read the comic is scratched off the list as not mattering worth a damn.
Oh yeah, and Sin City kicked major butt!!!!!
